Ahhhhh, when you speak of the Fishing Achievements, it brings a tear to my eye. They can simultaneously be some of the most relaxing, and frustrating, ones to go for, at the same time. But I'll tell you this: I love my "Big Fish" title. I rarely ever take it off. And I was both surprised and elated when SE added a Big Fish Framer's Kit. I use the background all the time in my portraits. :D

This series inspired me to start doing levequests and working towards achievements more seriously. I've always been an achievement hunter in games and had already been sort of half-assedly chasing a bunch so you gave me the extra push to actually figure out what the biggest grinds are and what to prioritize, as well as starting to keep track of what I get each week to stay motivated. Also to answer the question of "what do DPS players even do during queues", that's usually when I do a lot of my dailies/weeklies like tribe quests, custom deliveries, sending out Squadrons and Retainers, gathering my daily treasure map, mini-Cactpot, etc. If I run out of those I start using it to grind out stuff like FATE rank or Triple Triad stuff. There's plenty of achievement grinds you can make progress on while waiting in a queue! My achievements this week: - Level 80 Miner, Botanist, and Dark Knight (plus the achievement for omni-gatherer level 80) - 90 deliveries to Ehll Tou and 36 to Charlemend - 50 uses of the Aetherometric Augur in the Diadem - A whole assload of PvP achievements at once; I got my 10th win on Seal Rock which also got me level 50 with the Maelstrom, so then I switched to Immortal Flames and got 1 frontline win which catapulted me to level 10 with them, netting 4 Flames achievements at once.

Three things to take away for me from this video: 1. Apparently I'm not the only one who sees a 10+ minute queue, and thinks "I could buy some new gear off the vendor in the meantime", only then to have the queue pop after two frickin' minutes while I'm in the vendor menu. 2. I've only played FFXIV for a year, and I'm ahead of you on retainer ventures. In fact, I've finished those achievements. Yay me, I'm feeling good about myself now 3. I have a lot of content creators that I like to watch, so these days I'm finding 20-30 minute videos are kind of the sweet spot. This is especially true if it's a weekly video, I'd love to have something to look forward to but know that I don't have to set aside my evening for it. As someone who loves completionism in games, I definitely felt overwhelmed by XIV's list and have not let myself pursue it too persistently because I will burn out. But it's making me really satisfied to watch YOU go through the journey, so I can sort of get that feeling of accomplishment vicariously. So thanks for this series!

Not sure if you are unaware or just didn't explain clearly in the video, but the 2nd CLL boss will use 3 elements each fight: Water (always), either Fire or Ice, then one of Wind, Lightning, or Earth. The real cursed combo is Fire + Earth. Don't move because Pyretic, but also you have to move because Earth does the circle -> progressively expanding ring thing. The only real out there is standing at the outermost ring when the mechanic starts, so you have about a second after Pyretic expires to move into the 2nd (hopefully now resolved) ring.

On the Aether data center, the Lyon party is free-for-all by tradition. You want up there, you gotta be quick. Fun story, I was doing CLL as BLM with only 8 ppl total. This means that only 7 will fight Lyon, since there must always be at least one to tend to his menagerie. And if that one person falls, it'll wipe out the pt fighting Lyon. So everyone else goes to fight Lyon, and I'm just freaking out trying to kite like 30 rabid coerls and beetles... it was pretty funny actually.

Did you also encounter the glaring issue of closing/locking instances for BSF & Zadnor? I remember it being a slight issue in Eureka for Baldesian Arsenal runs, but when I was doing the 50x clears of CLL and Dal, it seemed like I'd have an instance lock on me before I even hit the 180 minute mark. Constantly checking the adventurer list, just to see if the people coming in had stopped.

If you have finished a single level 70 or 80 relic, this will happen to you many times but it does not really matter anymore as long as there are 4-8 people because of the super echo.

I did a crafting food session during this video so that's the ideal length for me, one crafting food. I use the food manuals to make sure each food lasts 45 mins, but if someone isn't using that then a 30min video covers their crafting! I noticed you passing on gear drops in dungeons, but have you got the desynth achievement yet? Casual gear dr ops from dungeons did a lot of numbers when it came to my gear. Also if you haven't got the achievement for levelling all of your trusts to 90 yet, that's an excellent way to gather xp for jobs, it's how I got a few of my jobs raised up.

Random loot drops are also the best way to get company seals, which you need a lot of to get all of the ARR relics. I've been greeding on everything, turning them into seals, and then stocking up on Bombard Cores and shit to eventually get every ARR relic at once. That's also where most of my Poetics go - stocking up for ARR and HW relics.

I'm sitting at 37/50 Castrum Lacus Litore runs. I really hate doing more than one in a day, as I find it rather taxing in how boring it is (since run #10 or so, anyway). Oh, and I gained 100 points since the first achievement video. In last week's video, I had 18250 points. Now I have 18350. Today, I got the ALC skybuilders' alembic (from scratch) for 20 points. Other notable recent achievements include killing my 500th A rank hunt mark, getting DRG to level 90 and getting the first tier of its Endwalker relic weapon. Also, I'm a bottom gamer (in the context of Castrum Lacus Litore of course).

I applaud your commitment to the bozja stuff, that takes me a lot of mental patience to get into. Good luck with the leves, I finished out the grand company ones a while back and have been doing battlecraft leves every morning before work and every evening after work that I am home. Charity Chadheart- you can get BONKERS prep fragments from reflect farming in Bozja- You can go to Eorzean weather to see when they pop- Different weathers will spawn different sprites- but this is awesome for Prep, care, and support frags. Things about CLL, because frankly I do way too much bozja: 1. While it's true the bosses can't be killed too far apart, the 'enrage' timer is incredibly lenient; one has to be alive for around 3mins after the other dies for the 'enrage' to happen. What happens is, if one boss dies and the other is alive for too long, a colossus will spawn on the dead boss side and begin spamming 999,999dmg cleaves at everyone (this is actually the same fail condition as labyrinth atomos, should one platform have less than 5 when the barrier goes up). HOWEVER, the colossus can be instakilled with assassination/death! Meaning that it spawning is not necessarily and instant wipe (though it often is). While normally if there's a huge hp difference one side will call to hold, this is not always respected bc people not reading chat, and in extreme cases holding can result in a wipe anyway as the tunnel armor dies. If the tunnel armor reaches around 20 it's usually better for the higher dps side to just kill their boss to lessen the incoming damage on the armor, especially if the fast side is bottom. DPS imbalance issues usually are either the result of an early pull resulting in no time to organize and one side being severely undermanned, or one side by sheer coincidence being full of chads pumping with good essences and actions and the other side being full of soyjaks with defensive essences and actions, leading to one blowing up in the opener while the other barely takes 10%. Needless to say, 1st bosses is easily the spookiest part of CLL and probably the single highest failure point, especially since the initial 20min timer means that single wipe means a very real risk of running the instance timer out on the next pull. 2. Yes, assassination is GOATed for prisoner section. Death too, but the much longer cooldown and cast time make it significantly less effective than assassination. Plus, essence of the beast + assassination is an incredibly strong combo for melee and phys range dps. Another GOATed action that unfortunately many people don't bring to CLL is lost impetus. Lost Impetus is a small dash forward + an incredible movement speed buff (easily 2x as fast as sprint), that also gives the movement speed buff to party members. There's a looooooot of ground to cover in this section, so the movement speed buff can actually be insanely beneficial over damage actions, especially if people are bringing assassination/death to get around health bars. Impetus doesn't take up much holster weight, so what I normally do is I have my actions for the first bosses set before I even get into the raid, I swap to impetus and assassination/death for prisoners, and then swap back to standard damage actions just before adrammelech (In lower man CLLs I'll also take the time to hand out Steelsting to the raid on the way to adrammelech). Finally, the East/West hallways down below are a trap. You can very easily drop down to those hallways from up above, meaning it's far faster to go from the intercardinal hallways up above to the cardinal hallways down below. The best way to save 6/6 prisoners is to have everyone split up between the NW/SW/NE/SE hallways, save the prisoners, and then collapse to their respective cardinal hallways and save those prisoners. 3. The elements Adrammelech choses are not 100% random. He will always chose water, followed by either ice or fire, followed by one of earth, lightning, or wind. Of all the combinations you can get, Fire + Earth is usually acknowledged as the biggest pug stomper. Honestly any combo with fire is likely gonna result in deaths, because the pyretic damage ticks in this fight - especially in a 24+ man CLL - are absolutely brutal compared to anything else short of extreme/savage content; failing one tick is usually instant death for the squishies. 4. At least on aether/primal, no one bothers to pick out a lyon party anymore. It's a just a waste of time, you don't need a coordinated party to kill him. The more undermanned the raid is as well, the faster he dies. One time I even had a group that managed to kill him immediately after he set up the DoT wall. Also - and this is rare - it is in fact possible to skip lyon with high enough raid dps! It usually requires a lot of rays of valor in the raid and - more importantly - most people in the raid using good essences and actions, but it is possible, and it's always cool when it happens. The general rule I've found is that if you can comfortably skip meteors on adrammelech you have a good shot at skipping lyon.
