Thanks for the shout out! That came out really nice! I especially like your ideas for the sound holes and volume knob! I think lining the box with wood is a good approach to stiffening the box and toning down the tinny sound. I think it sounds great!

Hi Mike. Brummie Brian here from Birmingham middle England. Since making my first CBG at the age of 77 I have been looking for KZbin videos to help me play and sound a little better and got hooked on yours and your way of building and explaining the know how of this art. I have been wanting to make a biscuit/cookie tin guitar from a tin that I am fond of and this video as usual with your work has given me the urge and tips to start. So thanks mate for all your explanatory videos that I am watching and learning from. Regards from Big G/ Brummie Bri UK.

That's a nice tin whiskey CBG. A magnetic shot glass volume control would be a nice touch where you can take a shot of smooth whiskey between songs! I really love your attention to detail and craftsmanship. Thanks for posting your build... moocho appreciated! Oh, Michael I won a cute Pineapple Style ukulele that Shane Speal built. Posting positive comments sometimes lands you a new instrument to play. Christmas 🎄 came early. I also installed a new spanish style tuning pegs & piezoelectric pickup in a Kay Acoustic Guitar I recently was gifted. The piezo make a huge difference.

Nice build. I'm here looking for tips on how to build a CBG from a bottle-shaped Crowne Royal Tin I just got. The wood bottom is obviously key and wouldn't be hard to do for mine. The sides would have a whole lot of curve to them though (thino of the shape of a CR bottle). I wonder if I could bend some wood that was reasonably thin and make that work.

OK... My comment: AMAZING sound, BUT you basically built a wooden CBG with some tin wrapped around the outside, NOT really a CBG from a TIN! One negative comment I have is once you cut that whiskey barrel in half it lost it's whiskey barrel look? To me it just looks like a wooden knob, sorry. I LOVE watching your CBG builds and listening to you play. I built custom electrics for 30 years, but a stroke put an end to that. Now I'm considering building one of these. Our son got me a CBG kit for physical therapy right after my stroke and it still sets here in the box. That's goading me into trying this. I'd been a guitar player since the 60's, but I can't finger due to the stroke. However, I might be able to play slide? God bless: Dave
