I absolutely agree about the generosity of the community. On my last birthday I was at a lounge and I was gifted a cohiba siglo vi. Absolutely amazing smoke and experience.

Gentlemen, excellent content and excellent banter. I am a mid-level cigar user from the United States. I love the concept of the Cigar Keep site (and potentially future app). I'd love to see if it ever evolved to include those of us with limited/no contact with Cuban cigars and instead make much use of Dominican/Nicaraguan/Ecuadorian cigars. Best to you both and I'm so very thankful for your hard work!

It was interesting to observe the way you two smoked your cigars quite different of a ceremony but it’s fascinating to observe the distinctions that somewhat relate to show how you smoke your cigar in a way is how you are per say almost like smoking your cigar projects a bit of you in other words you can really gauge someone by the way they smoke a cigar. Fascinating and it’s fascinating to partake in watching.

Excellent content as always! I would like to add that Terra Magica was released as Regional Edition for Croatia, not Italy. The name "Terra Magica" comes from ancient Roman which was the name for our largest peninsula Istria. Istria is a famous tourist destination known for beautiful cities and villages, excellent wine, olive oil and truffles. You can still find Terra Magica in some places so consider this as an invitation to Croatia, which is an extraordinary country for holiday!
@tfchamberlin2 жыл бұрын
Yes that makes a lot of sense. I wondered if the Adriatic coast meant both sides of that corridor so thank you for the clarification
@bartolic52 жыл бұрын
@@tfchamberlin I can understand the confusion. Their regionalization makes me wonder too quite a lot. For example, the new El Rey Del Mundo Grand Marshall is released as Regional Edition Balkans. Croatia is one of the Balkan countries but from what halfwheel says, it will be available only in Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania. Strange but it is at least a good excuse for more traveling!
@russ99212 жыл бұрын
Question for @Thomas Chamberlin - will you be amending the cigar logging frame so that one can log numbers less than a box worth? First of all boxes vary in content and secondly one gradually smokes through the box! For example I’ve 20 left of my Partagas Series 2, but the site won’t let me put that number in, and so I either have to state a box or 20 boxes. Many of us will look forward to the Cuban Cancer Cruise!

There are plenty of winemakers that would be pleased to have you coming to their estate, tell you about the wines they make and give you the opportunity to taste and discuss about it. Kirby! A cigar smoker myself I’ve had many Cubans, and many cigars considered “new world”.. May I ask, is it just the lack of availability that draws you to Cuban cigars? I’ve had many cigars that did not come from Cuba that were far better than anything habana has put out. Just curious for the specificity of Cubans being your preference.
@Yooshist2 жыл бұрын
100% this. I live in Italy and have access to Cuban cigars. They're overrated and if it wasn't for the embargo people wouldn't put them on a pedestal. I buy Padron cigars from the states because a $8 Padron 5000 maduro is better value than ANY Cuban. That includes the 2017 Limited edition Cohiba's I bought in 2018 for 41 EURO per stick.
@SandroMagna Жыл бұрын
I would pick a cheap Partagas Aristocrat over any new world cigar. New world cigars are like poison, be it Fuente or Padron. Jesus christ. I don't understand how people enjoy the crap. Cuban cigars are by far and beyond better tasting. With age and rest, they're unmatched. An Arturo Fuente Don Carlos or crappy Drew Estate #9/T52 for more than Partagas D4/E2/P2, Montecristo #2/Especiales #2, Bolivar Belicosos Finos, Romeo y Julieta Short/Wide Churchill, Punch Punch etc? Gtfo.

Is Cigar Keep worried about Cuban counterfeits? That’s the biggest cigar problem in the USA. You also have all these online stores from Hong Kong, Switzerland and others. Are they real Cuban cigars? How do you know? Many, many times their prices are so cheap that it’s hard to believe. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Seems like a fun idea for a website, I must say. But to be honest Cuban cigars are one note and a quite boring smoke. There is much more interesting stuff coming out of Nicaragua and Honduras for instance. With more richness in taste and variety of taste through the progression of the cigar. And at a price point that is far superior at that.
