I’m sitting on my porch smoking a cigar and feeling stressed about the craziness in our country right now, and I stumble across this channel. I finish the first video, immediately subscribe, and look at a second video. I give it a thumbs up and then, after another puff on my cigar, realize that I have completely forgotten that I was stressed 20 minutes ago. This country needs a lot more people with this laid back view of life. Thank you sir for saving part of my afternoon, and more in the future. Now, I will slowly finish my cigar

Good Afternoon Sir, I’m a young officer in the Navy(early twenties) and I just want to say that watching your videos have helped me tremendously as I navigate my way through life. The world is always moving so fast and it’s hard as a working young man to slow down and find peace. When I drive to work in the early mornings I like to turn your videos on and reflect. As someone who grew up in the south I find that I can really relate to your philosophies and thought process. It makes me feel at home even when I’m across seas. Again, thank you for standing for something positive and real. I’m sure young men and women all across the country appreciate it as much as I have.

Yeah I don’t think spending $16+ - $30+ dollars on a stogie is necessary. I can afford those Premium cigars but I smoke the Quorum cigars that cost $3.69 per cigar from Publix grocery stores the majority of the time. Or I purchase the “Punch” or the Romeo n’ Julietta Reserve. I’m about to lite up a “Monte Cristo Platinum Series cigar for after lunch and after dinner tonight I’ll lite up a Esteban Carreras “Vigilante” that cost only $4.50 a piece

I am Canadian, I don’t smoke cigars and I don’t have horses but I got snagged and can’t stop listening to this amazing soul of a cowboy. I don’t even really know how I found him and his channel. I think KZbin put him in my feed because I was researching anything I could fond about border collies and stick dogs. I thought o was going to hear something new about border collies and I get an amazing talk about the world at large and how you can’t change a donkey because it’s in his nature. Now I’m hooked! I even share a few talks on my fb page. I don’t usually get any response and my followers probably think I’ve finally gone mad, lol! I lost my wife last Aug to cancer and with her health decline I lost just a about everything I owned. I now am living in a trailer on a little piece of land trying to prepare for the harsh winters that we get here in Ontario just below Algonquin park. I find that listening to one of these talks each morning to start my day while I roast and drink my coffee is so very grounding and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for being you in the world and thank you for sharing your wisdom. It has helped me quite a lot!🙏😊

I worked in Iraq for 6 years during the war as a contractor and continued my work in Afghanistan for another 12 years till it ended. Everywhere I traveled, I brought some cigars with me. After a long stressful day, I and my fellow contractors would sit around a picnic table and smoke cigars and talk about our day, talk about home, talk about anything.. it gave us a chance to wind down. I am still living and working in the Middle East and once a week I and my buddies get together and have a nice Dominican or Cuban cigar and catch up. Smoking cigars is more than just smoking.. it's a "moment" that only those who have experienced it can understand.

@@akuthelazy7342 oh yeah I’ve had that happen before, tar buildup is no fun! Well said. Long time cigar smoker here. Being truthful all cigars regardless of quality really tap out at 20 dollars. Meaning if you are smoking a cigar that isn’t vintage( meaning aged in a humidor for years) that costs more than 20 dollars you honestly are just paying for the name. My personal preference of price is anywhere from 3 dollars to 8 dollars a cigar (online prices by the box prices) and in brick and mortar? 5 to 12 dollars a cigar. There are some of my absolute favorites that are 15 to 20 but I save those for special occasions as I can’t afford cigars at that price as a daily smoke. Price point vs Quality? My personal favorite brand is Perdomo cigars. Fantastic cigars that are affordable to me.

I have an uncle who owns a couple of plow horses that can be ridden also so my wife and I enjoy taking them out on the property but we are both definitely novice and the horses seem to know that so they treat us with kid gloves they are that gentle. I too enjoy a good Maduro cigar and a pipe. I watched the video you made in your Suburban about your favorite books and you mentioned mixing Lane 1-Q with Kentucky Dark Fired. I enjoy both those blends so I thought I'd give them a mix and it turned out to be a very good smoke so thank you for that tip even if it wasn't meant to be one. Most important for me, I don't want to fight it. If the draw is too tight or, worse, too loose, I won't have a good time no matter the flavor. Uneven burns or unwrapping is horrible too. Personally, I found I don't like the Mexican blends. DR or Nicaruagua are ideal for me. PDR is a nice middle of the road stick. The best high dollar smoke I had was a Caldwell.

'Can't say I didn't like any of them, but Toscanello remained my absolute favorite. in Serbia, they cost $7.50-pack of 5. Great point as always!

Cigars are absurdly taxed in Australia. A single Cohiba Siglo I is 90-100 dollars and romeo y julieta no.3 and 4 are 40-45 dollars each. Stupidly expensive

When it comes to cigars price does not mean you will like it or that it's good. I have tried over 50 brands/types of cigars (nothing compared to guys who have been smoking for years) and I found several cigars that were pricey but they were horrible. Hard draw, runs a lot, all kinds of stuff. You also have to remember each one of these cigars was hand made so each cigar is unique. For instance, Davidoff is considered one of the best cigars around but I have had a Davidoff that I refused to smoke because the draw was so hard you would get a headache or something trying to smoke it. Just my 2 cents.

4:43 I really prefer the Java Latte, or the Java Maduro. They run about $9 - $11 but the taste is worth it. That's just my opinion, because it fits my flavor profile. What works for me might not work for you. You do what you enjoy

Punch Original ( Clasico ) Robusto. Best for the money. Consistent. Comes in a humipack , if you dont want to hassle with a humidor. I am going to try the Quorum Toro , five in a fresh pack , which is resealable, available from Atlantic Cigars for $9.95 a 5 pack.

A very nice inexpensive cigar I keep in my humidor: Sancho Panza Glorioso. 92 rated. A box runs about $100. So, around $5/cigar.

Sweet mary. Is $20 considered expensive for a cigar in the US? The bottom of the line here in Australia are $30 each.. a decent cigar is $75-$100 a piece.

My favorite cigars are less than 10 bucks a stick and most around $5 or less. and iv tried everything from $1 cigars up to about the $30 range. I like mild strength with full flavor. Try out Cain Daytonas, Old Henry Gold (my favorite), sancho panza double maduro, JFR lunatic habano. You can find some darn fine cigars on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

If you're ever in the Philippines I recommend Antonio Gimenez cigars, but I also enjoy the Independencia 1898 coronas. Both are flavorful with a nice slow burn. Combined w/ a glass of Fundador brandy = Nirvana.

Factory smokes are pretty good I like the Maduro it has a spicy chocolatey coffee taste. I smoke them all the way down to a nub . It's still three bucks gone every time you smoke one but I don't chew Copenhagen anymore and I don't have to smoke anymore if I don't want to I only fire a couple up on the weekend and maybe occasionally after a hard day at work when everything goes wrong.

If I'm endulging myself, I'll go with a Liga Privada #9 or T52...otherwise,I'll go with a nub from Oliva. They are a short smoke but with a good size ring gauge.

Bad cigars are existing. Wrong\twisted roll, green mildew, damaged cover leaf etc. And, of course, ligador`s mistake - terrible taste, as Gurkha AW or Titan, Iron Horse Robusto, Bahia Blue 500 and many others...

The cheapest I can get a 6'' x64 Cigar is $80 here, Even a simple 25 box of ROMEO Y JULIETA (4.4'' x29) is $244. And that is a horribly small cigar. I manage farms which allows me a relatively expensive Cigar collection. I can taste Coffee, Chocolate and other amazing flavors in my Cigars while everyone else I know that enjoy Cigars cannot, I believe although the flavor is a different experience for us all we all enjoy the activity the same.

I smoke $2-3 dollar cigars (Vegas 5 Classic, 20 cigars for around $70/box) lately. Been smoking cigars since 1994. I don't like it when people ask me what brands of cigars I smoke, because I don't even pay attention to the brands most of the time.

La Gloria Cubana Serie R#7 this is a TRULY TASTY CIGAR,, I know our tastes can and possibly are very different my friend but based off of what you've been smoking and their wrappers, I don't think it will disappoint you. Serie R is a robust Rubostos for sure. give her a chance, I just warn you, she's a long burn

Well said. There's an Oliva Celebration sampler on Holts, 20 sticks for $100. Definitely don't have to spend an arm and a leg (at least per. I realize $100 isn't nothing.)

smoke the sticks you like, like the sticks you smoke. I've had $15 cigars that weren't good. Had some that were real good. Romeo & Julieta 1875 cigar is a great smoke for $5 - $6 stick. Olivas are usually solid picks all round. The Oliva O Series and Melania V sticks are great. I find the Oliva Connecticuts are good. The Charter Oak Connies are ok. The Dumbarton Trust Sobramessa Brulee is a FANTASTIC cigar, about $14 - has a naturally sweet tip and stays creamy through the who smoke.

So I am not much of a smoker, but my girlfriend brought me a box of cuban cigars from Havana, Cuba. It's Cohibas and it was so smooth, good tasting, and had a strong buzz (I also quit nicotine about 5 months back). The only brand of cigars I've tried previously was acid and I wasn't a fan, I preferred my Marlboro reds
