The reason I read the Manga is because there are many portions that are skipped by the studios. Many important questions like character development and not there in the Anime but it is there in the manga

The Uprising arc feels like a completely different story in the manga, where it focuses almost exclusively excluisively on character development and world building, as opposed to the anime where it's basically been reduced to "LOOK HOW MANY COOL FIGHT SCENES WE CAN PUT LEVI IN!!" Fuck his altercation with Historia, which both sets her character arc in motion but also shows the Levi fangirls that he's kind of an abusive asshole (thus making his character more rounded)- they had to cut out all that pesky "plot" nonsense. Seriously, when I heard that Isayama himself prefered the bland, generic, watered down anime version of what was honestly the best arc in AoT period, I realized then that he was not the literary genius everyone was making him out to be...
