@@lamiaprincess6371 No it couldn't, the set was Magic Jammer. Tribute to the doomed would have never resolved and in his position gettin another critter to add another piece was useless. A third body in the field to avoid dying was better. And because he wasn't sure abiut another magic jammer it was better to leave witch and sangan beacuse they could have added other critters if MBT attacked thus giving a monster to set and a discard for tribute or he could have added 2 pieces and hoped to draw the last one or a draw spell. The problem in the end was that any play still resulted in death thanks to magic jammer.

@@lsp6032 Off the top of my head, Cannon Soldier turned up here, Dimension Fusion/DMOC Cannon FTK, various iterations of Firewall FTK, apparently some other FTK in 2000 somehow, Telefon FTK also currently exists, it's just not very good against the current meta, but something will probably break it eventually. This thing has a God damn history, and needs to be stopped.

Last Will, even the TCG variant, is the kind of card you read, re-read, read a third time, put down, and ask "are you taking the piss?" I distinctly remember _not_ using it because my initial reaction was "that card _cannot_ do what I think it does. I must be reading it wrong..." Turns out I wasn't reading it wrong (much; at the time I remember thinking it worked like a trap card), but I had way too much faith in... I think Konami was responsible for this one, only for Upper Deck to _try_ and soften the blow.

tbh I just straight up think that Cimo was mistaken in saying this deck was stronger than the last. MoF, raigeki and swords being exchanged for Thunder Dragon, Last will and Cannon Soldier, only serves to make the deck slower and more bricky. Thunder Dragon is notorious for its ability to completely brick a hand and while cannon soldier being able to tribute sangans and witches is neat, the old deck doesn't even need to have them hit the board. I can understand getting rid of traphole, but not the third judgement. Basically, the last deck was entirely focused on the Exodia FTK, whereas this one seems to go out on weird needless tangents.

This deck basically has no counters if it goes first and I think the thunder dragons are not great cards for this deck either as those are for BLS fodder. He could have EASILY replaced that with a feather and just like that he wins.

​​@@theposhdinosaur7276Personally, I don't think Thunder Dragon is bad, because the chance of drawing 2 or 3 copies of it is a little more than 5%, while the chances of getting 1 copy is basically 34%, besides that it serves as a discard fother for Graceful Charity or Tribute to the Doomed (and if Last Will had been activated, he would be able to summon another monster when using Thunder Dragon), but I have to agree that 3 copies of Cannon Soldier is a lot, I would probably only use 1 copy, because it's possible to search for it with Sangan/Witch or even using Last Will. Finally, Last Will is better than MoF, as it makes FTK much more consistent (and there are ways to counter MoF).

Thunder Dragon is actually a bad tech choice for this deck for the reasons shown here. Had they been trapholes or other staple spells and traps he would have swept. That's Karma For ya!

He drew it during the battle phase so it wasn't worth using that same turn and losing the surprise element, and he wouldn't have had lethal the following turn (Even if he had Cannon Soldier'd off Sangan). At that point there was nothing to do without getting rid of his 2nd copy of Exodia's Head, and Joseph had a Magic Jammer anyway if he slammed it before Jar

@@tvftw1 He can do it w/o getting rid of the head--by tributing witch via cannon soilder, which gets him a sangan that he can discard with tribute. If it's negated, he still have the same or better game state by getting another witch and setting it(he haven't normal summoned), but the jam is gone so his pot will go through later(well, his deck will be shuffled so might draw differently, but.... let's say the rest stay the same somehow) If it's not negated, now there is a lot less damage on board, which might mean more turns and more chances. Either way, it doesn't get him to win right away, but he's in a much better position.

@@1stCallipostle i mean i was very aware of it being even more busted previously, i knew it summoned infinitely during series 1, i used it with that effect in my series 1 custom format(s), i just had not assimilated that, just like sangan and witch, it didnt care where monsters were sent to the gy from Last will was already limited in my format(s) anyways so its not like it changes much, even without 3 pot 3 charity (i limited them for obvious reasons) it absolutely led to broken combo pretty much any deck could tech in (although because of the rarity of winning on turn 1 due to having less draw power the preferred last will combo is a burn combo since it thus uses no bad cards (i guess catapult turtle is mid but thats pretty much the worst card you have to run so its really ok))
