I built my version of Grandpa's Exodia deck that Yugi Muto had in Season 1 of YuGiOh! The difference? I am actually able to summon Exodia The Forbidden One to defeat Fuslie's dragon deck!

@Selobgo that would depend on which print set they were using, however back to square one in Master Duel uses the original rulings for the card which allows it to target any card on the field, even spells and traps, its just one of many cards that Konami coded wrong in the game

@@platinumkitty7540 I have no idea what print they are using? I was literally just reading the card that she drew and it says monster on it. It specifically reads "then target 1 monster on the field" so i just assumed that means that she couldn't target swords of revealing light

@Selobgo yeah the card in Master duel is broken what it says on the card isn't what it tends to do, back to square one is a card I enjoyed using alot myself and ran into multiple occasions where it let me send spell and traps back to the deck, its just sloppy coding by konami

Two cards that could make this deck even better, legacy of the duelist magic card and obliterate trap card. One let’s you remove exodia from your deck to the grave to pop a monster back to the hand, the other let’s you take it out the grave to your hand instead of drawing

But, yeah, it is really that easy. This video here has the worst kind of "exodia deck", if you want to call what he played one, you can build.

This is hilarious! I just wish ppl would actually play exodia the traditional way rather than taking the cards description so literal. Exodia is the back up plan. Use a mixture of techniques to reduce the cards in your deck to conceal the fact that you have him. The problem with focusing on forcing him into your hand is that it is obvious and it often leaves you with no counterplay. Special summons to the field from your deck is a great way to maintain the initiative while working toward your hidden agenda....for example.

this exodia deck is... rather underwhelming. Why do you even have heart of the underdog in your deck? all the normal monsters you have are the limbs of Exodia. It's a useless card most of the times. If you want that one to be useful, run Treasure Panda Exodia. I built a Treasure Panda based Exodia deck receantly, and it's damn epic. Only requirement is, that your opponent doesn't have interruptions when you go first. Or at least, no interruptions that'd disable your treasure panda. If you want a mostly spell based deck, like what you were probably aiming for here, than a Royal Magical Library based one is the way to go, but some of the cards you used, like cardcar D are way too slow. Also, they take up your normal summon, since you have no way of special summoning them.
