Those duels were crazy! Both of them in their own way really show Cimo's protagonist powers. As for the question at the end of the second duel; you *always* Reckless first. It is much more obvious if you repeat this experiment with 6 cards (with one last piece of Exodia hiding in there), and you have Reckless Greed and Pot of Duality but it applies to any number of deck size, though the difference becomes smaller the more cards you add. If you Reckless Greed first, you get to draw 2 cards and then you see 3 out of 4 remaining cards (giving you a 5 out of 6 chance to find the last piece of Exodia), or ~83%. But if you pot of Duality first, you see 3 out of 6 cards, and then draw 2, which reduces your odds to just over 50% (though I'm bad enough at maths to be unable to figure out the exact number quickly. All I know is that it doesn't come close to 83%, and that's good enough for me. It's a principle similar to the Monty Hall problem, and knowing how to resolve that also helps here.

As someone who played during the time, I actually remember seeing BOTH of these deck profiles. - The final countdown deck I believe was at YCS Long Beach, the 100th YCS. The player was so confident in his deck winning, that the sideboard plan was specifically to be ahead in time in game 2 or 3 if it was taking long. The Exodia deck on the other hand was from an Ex-Yugituber, Prowinston who got top 8 at Worlds, using exodia as an anti insektor list like Joseph mentioned for the FC deck.

This was a really fun episode. One suggestion I would have is for "one deck" formats that make jank decks like exodia and countdown possible it would be cool to see the jank vs the meta they are countering. Exodia vs inzektor at world's was actually a really interesting match up with unique positions that you wouldn't see in any other duel. Seeing solemn judgment used to negate an upstart goblin because of hope for escape would have been nuts.

Got to wonder how the Exodia segments from both Exodia episodes from History of Jank will be arranged in the compilation, maybe as a finisher similar to how the Kalut montage was done in Progression? To answer Cimo's query: Yes, Pyro Clock of Destiny does fast-forward the count for Final Countdown. It also causes a unique Draw scenario where, if Player A played FC, then Player B plays FC and PCoD, both FCs will be on the same turn count, and cause a Draw on Turn 20. Although it should be stated that Pyro Clock of Destiny is technically mistranslated, as the Japanese text says to advance the turn count for a single card, not the entire duel as a whole. Other cards that Pyro Clock of Destiny interacts with: Virus Traps - Fast-forwards the turn count for where the affected player reveals all drawn cards Doom Virus Dragon - See above Time Magic Hammer - Fast-forwards the turn count, and can keep monsters banished permanently if the turn count skips past the Nth turn Spell Gear - Fast-forwards the turn count for when you can Normal Summon again, including immediately if played the turn after Spell Gear was used Swords of Revealing Light/Nightmare's Steelcage/Big Evolution Pill - Fast-forwards the turn count for when it expires, including immediately if it becomes the 3rd turn Zone Eater/Swordsman from a Distant Land - Fast-forwards the turn count for when the monster inevitably explodes Cards that PCoD does NOT interact with: Gold Sarcophagus - It counts Standby Phases, not turns Future Fusion - See above Wave-Motion Cannon - See above
