Chronomalies was actually one of the first new decks I built when I started playing, and I gotta say, playing the archetype pure facilitates the Machu Mech OTK far better than this build did lol. Like, all Chonomalies do is spam 5s and 3s, so if you open with 4 monsters and Mini Guts you're pretty much guaranteed to make Machu Mech and have a monster left over to tribute. It's really weird to see this build that tries to jump through hoops and minus... just do accomplish what Chronomalies do on their own.

He burns for 2500, attacks for 4900, and then... he can't burn with Mini-Guts because Fitzgerald revives itself as CL2 and Mini-Guts can't check its ATK in the Graveyard.

Also if his summoning requirements weren’t so stupid, frozen Fitzgerald would have been a surprisingly decent synchro for it’s time. It’s revive would come up occasionally similar to the battle revenge effect from Machina Fortress and it is a pseudo Armadis in a format where battle tricks like Mirrorforce, Dimensional Prison or the forbidden quick spells were still relevant.

@@yoel9396 well not quite, Flamevell has at Dog and rekindling. Dog was a viable +1beater for a while and Rekindling is always insane. Ally’s of Justice do nothing outside of being the worst shel for Black Salvo and having niche floodgates But Genex have a few things, Birdman saw a lot of play and there is a crappy Gadget like chain but they actually have one really cool play that is powerful to this day. Genex Recycled is a lvl 1 tuner Machine Dup target that copies the name of a Genex in the GY. If it copies Genex Windmill, you can Machine dup it for two Windmills, who searches any Genex, if he is special summoned. Meaning you can search two more Genex monsters, one of which can be a Birdman for bounce nonsense or just go into a synchro play. This combo is, in terms of card advantage, comparable to Spyral Quickfix Machine Duplication and supplies you with both tuners and non tuners. Sure it’s nearly impossible to pull of and the 2 card combo needs a GY setup but it’s undeniably one of the most hype plays in this game

Watching this I have to wonder what Ojama’s could’ve done had they gotten an in archetype XYZ monster of their own. EDIT:After writing this comment, I thought about what kind of effect this card could’ve had and came up with an idea that I think works. Now part of the effect on this card takes a bit of inspiration from the Ojama Link 3 monster, Ojama Emperor. Ojama Lord Rank 2 Light Beast 2 Level 2 “Ojama” Monsters While “Ojama Country” is face up in your Field Zone this card gains 2000 ATK points and “Ojama” monsters you control cannot be destroyed by Battle. When A Card or Effect is Activated that targets an “Ojama” Card you control (Quick Effect) You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card, Negate that effect and shuffle that card back into the Deck. Would this have helped Ojamas, maybe not be meta, but at least a solid rogue threat?

Oh man I remember the Mini-Guts combo! Chronomalies/OOPArts were my favorite deck back in the Xyz era because of how cool the cards were! Although I only ran it as part of the pure OOPArts/Chronomaly deck just as a fun secondary win condition to go for. xD It's amazing how that can just steal games since it can come out of nowhere. It doesn't work on its own, even as a Jank deck, just because you need something else to do since it's too easy to play around by itself.

I think probably the most effective I've ever seen Ojamas was in Hardleg's 60 card What a Deck Version. Cards like Pot of Desires and Obedience Schooled are just a really big boon for a pure version of the deck. Also, resolving Ojama Delta Hurricane is one of the coolest thing's ever

This episode almost made me cry 😢 Game 1 I don't know what cimo was thinking playing duality when the entire point of the deck is to special summon 5's to make machu. Game 2 he had the OTK if he just special summoned cydra first, Dark world dealings pitching ganesha, special tricky discarding anything, overlay for machu, tribute ganesha for mini guts, move to game 3. Frustrating as hell seeing the mis-plays due to trying to turbo out cards without thinking the plays through first.

It is hilarious that in theGX anime chaz switched from using Dark Armed Dragon a card that can make any deck tier 1 or even 0 at the time to playing fucking Ojamas... and won more with them

This Ojama list is exactly what i LOVE about the deck. So many weird incidental synergies with honestly kinda busted support that makes for a really janky, but extremely fun engine They're kind of the punching bag of the YGO Community, but i really think they're not that bad

This is the Yu-Gi-Oh I know and love. Both these decks bring a tear to my eye. They're beautiful. Edit: This matchup was baaaad though. The Mech combo requires 1900+ atk. Against Ojamas.
