I have such great memories of my LV Dragon Control deck in the 5D's WC 2010 game where I combined both the LV dragons with Mirage Dragon to be unaffected by Spells, Battle Traps and the ability to out monsters. Add a bit of staple spells and traps and it kept surprising great board control for a janky deck like it was.

I think Cimo and MBT should be allowed to create their own side decks. The side decks in this series are usually for going against certain meta decks which both CImo and MBT KNOW they don't have access to. As a result, some of the decks literally have no way to win against certain decks (the elemental heroes vs rock episode) or are heavily unfavored (LV never expects to go against decks that have stronger monsters than Horus or Armed Dragon LV 7 and so don't have many outs). Letting both of them build their own side decks helps make the episodes more interesting imo.

To be fair when I was younger, I did try to bring a Jank Uria deck to a regional once. It was around 2016. I literally played close to 20 continuous traps in the main deck and only 5 monsters in the main deck too. I had so many traps listed on my form sheet that I had to write the traps below the trap column part. I was playing cards such as Skill Drain, Red Screen, Card of Demise, Quantum Cat, swamp mirrorer, Statue of Anguish Pattern, Gold Sarcophagus, and kuribandit. At the time of the event Skill Drain and Card of Demise where both at 3 and Gold sarcophagus was semi-limited.

I'm not sure what format it's in (other than some Synchro), but I saw a concept I'd love to see, and it's certainly janky: Cyberdark Black Garden Slifer So here's the thing: - Black Garden halves the original ATK of anything summoned. - Cyberdark monsters can hit fairly big ATK (2500 with Hunter Dragon), but they only have 800 base ATK (or 1000 for the Fusion). So Black Garden hurts them less than most monsters. - Slifer takes out another 2000 ATK and destroys things. You get to choose the order since you control both Slifer and Black Garden. Which means your opponent instantly loses any monster that doesn't exceed 4000 ATK. (Unless it's flipped face-up without being Flip Summoned). Even Cyber End Dragon would be auto destroyed. BEUD would land with a measly 500 ATK.
