It implies that instead of a "bye round" where you win because the opponent no-showed, you got a win because you gave your opponent money to "buy the round." MBT had 2400, and the most Cimo could do would be 2300 off GAF if he used Dark Hole. Going -4 to still be 100 damage off lethal(and opening himself to possible Last Turn/Self Destruct Button next turn) wouldn't be the best play, especially when most of MBT's flips are milling cards.

Jank deck for a later format: Black Garden Slifer. When you keep both of those on the field, your opponent can't successfully summon anything unless it has over 4000 ATK. I first encountered it as a Cyberdark build, since Cyberdarks have low original ATK but fairly high on-field ATK. But I imagine it could also be a stun for a non-battle win condition (burn, Exodia, deck out). Or it could be combined with direct attackers.

I wanna see an Appropriate Exodia deck played at some point. Things Cat of Ill Omen, Necrovalley, Gravekeeper's Commandant, and Super Nimble Mega Hamster to get to copies of Appropriate, and Cards like One Day of Peace, Hand Destruction, Cup of Ace, to trigger the effect. Deal with Dark Ruler once it's established. Cards like Swords of Revealing Light and Nightmare's Steelcage to stall. And maybe some Pots of Avarice depending on when it's legal relative to the other cards being available. Calling Cup of Ace wrong but getting a Pot of Greed draw _anyway,_ or better yet, drawing 4 or *more* cards instead feels awesome and it's only possible when going up against other jank decks.
