Bagent is very accurate, but unfortunately he doesn’t have the arm strength required to be a great starter. Last year when he started you saw that exposed when defenses caught on and started daring him to throw deep, which he couldn’t do and just made the shorter throws more difficult. To be successful as a starter, he’d have to land in like a purdy type situation

@@armtv offseason improvements are rarely massive in the sense that you’re implying. At this level, guys don’t make huge jumps in arm strength because they’ve already been trying to build their arm strength for years. After all, the 2 things that held his draft stock down were arm strength and decision making, and after an offseason of working on them, he still performed poorly in those areas last year when coaches game planned for him. I’d like to see him succeed, but the reality is that his ceiling is being a great backup, which is still phenomenal considering his draft analysis had him pegged for being a borderline practice squad player.

Funny enough, the bears had statistically a top 5 oline last year despite their best guy being out over half the year, rolling with 3rd strings, and wright playing half the season with one arm. 6th in pass block win % and 2nd in run block win %. WITH MOSTLY BACKUPS. As long as injuries don’t nuke the line (again), they’ll be fine. All the other top lines spent the entire season with almost no injuries, but the bears same starting 5 barely played together. Even when injuries inevitably happen, the backups for the bears have more starting experience than most other groups due to the injuries of the last 2 years

As an eagles fan that loves football I never thought Caleb would be a bust. I don't watch college football that much so the highlights i saw of Caleb always had me saying "he won't have that much time in the nfl." One thing I never took into account was he wasnt throwing to top receivers. The season hasnt started yet but he does look good. If he'll actually be good or a bust we don't know but one thing I do know is for at least the next two years people will be tuning in to the bears to watch great football. I truly believe this is what the NFL needs. The NFC needs to be great again.

Bears defense looks great. And I can honestly say the bears quarterbacks look very good starting with Williams, Tyson's improved, and the rookie is a keeper as well. It's a good situation to have when you got a good starting quarterback, a hell of a backup in Tyson, and a promising rookie for the practice squad.

Unpopular opinion: I think Williams a huge bust. Can’t read coverages correctly(after first option). He also bails out of the pocket at the sniff of pressure. Doesn’t stand tall and make tough throws knowing he’s gonna get hit. He actually looks scared of contact. Maybe that will improve with reps.

This Bears defense now has both sides figured out if we include the offense. Caleb has excited the fans with his performances, has the ability to use own feet; while running away from defensive rushers, and to me the Bears just look ready. Overall Ozunde might be the best receiver chosen for this 2024 Draft too. Seeing that dude come up with a catch that deep has my eyes 👀 getting bigger. When we see guys like Ozunde or Smith Njigba for Seattle it makes people want to really root for players that know how to make an immediate difference. Bengals may have scored just a field goal this game but believe me they will be prepared no matter who is playing for the regular season. The way Cincinnati tackles and brings opposing players down to the ground is very similar to teams like Pittsburgh and the 49ers. If people around the globe want complete action this is the game to see.

I told everyone it's bad picks, coaches need to be fired... I've always said it for decades. Preseason isn't much to hype about. Teams have won super bowl losing all 3 preseason. But my intuition said... bengals will only average coming season
