Cinder Block Basement Repair

Not only did we repair this cinder block basement, we also added exterior insulation with a new product called Homega by Nudura. The same company we get our ICF from. When you live in a cold climate like Canada, this is what happens to a walkout basement that doesn’t have a frost wall for protection.

Why wouldn't you Underpin that end of the house, so that the concrete then goes below the frost line...?

Nice. So am I understanding correctly that the plywood, which is sandwiched between the old block wall and the EPS is now buried below grade to frost (4'?) behind a peel n' stick? Dimple mat in front of that membrane to protect it from getting damaged by backfilling?

I'm the owner of this house, I thought about doing that in the past but I was luck to find this excellent contractor! They did a super job, cost efficient, I'm quite happy with the results. Looking forward to the final touches in the spring !
