I sit here wishing so badly that I had spent more time with him! Wishing I could have gotten to see him once more before he died.. And these lyrics: "don't know what you got till it's gone" really became relevant!! Plus, this being one of his favorite songs truly hits home.. R.I.P Johnny!! 😭

I still remember when my first girl left me, Wendy was her name, it was the summer of ‘89 and I tell you a man couldn’t have felt more alone in the world. And then Cinderella’s words rung over the radio. I tell you they don’t make music like this anymore. In truth the loss hit me hard, driving me to the goth side, but a healthy dose of Cinderella and my good friend Leopold slowly nursed my broken heart. Rock on 🤘- Stan.

Honestly, this song really hits my heart. Not just because of a relationship that didn't work with a boyfriend, but also my relationship with people in general. To me, the true meaning of this song is about being in pain and having sorrow in the soul, not just because of a broken heart, but the fear of change. It's trying to focus on not wanting to give up when that is the best thing you should do. People will always try to understand what they did wrong and in the process forget to move on. The song talks about trying to find the way back to reality. This is just how I process it. It's a great song and very heart touching.

Now I realize I didn't know what I had and how good she was till now.... I lay here alone in my bed looking out the window at the stars towards her house knowing she's there so close but I can't touch her or roll over and wrap my arms around her and breathe deeply as I smell her hair and feel her breathing in my arms at night as we sleep.ugh this is killing me. But she's come back 4 times to me in this past month in a half since she left considering trying again. I hope she's back in my arms again soon and I won't push again just pull her close and keep her in my arms for good this time. But right now she's like trying to catch a falling star........ I am so glad I grew up with this music. Are the hair, makeup and clothes ridiculous; yes? Are the melodies and lyrics addicting; yes! "Don't know what you got till it's gone" is how I feel about the music of that era!

Dena Campbell Very true! We always take people for granted until they're gone and then we kick our asses Into high gear but Its normally to late! I took my wife of 7 years for granted but I did love her and tried my hardest to let her know that daily and done alot of little things for her but wasn't enough. Oh well.

A song about lost love between LOVERS.... still though, I find myself here when I lose someone. RIP to my mother, father, and just this weekend, my uncle Mike. Thank you Mike...you always had faith in me when I was a plumbers helper that I would succeed when not many others did. You taught me to be tough, to be the one that everyone on the job counts on, and to be humble when everyone that counts on you counts on you to get them home at a decent hour. You treated me so well and I never got to thank you for making me what some people have said is "the best plumber alive". I don't buy it and never did...but I try my hardest every working day to be like you. I have 21 years in now, am on my way to going into business for the 2nd time, and my new company will bear YOUR name and NEVER will I forget the way you pushed me to be my best. It's been 2 days and I miss you so much already. You were always the best, and I just want to be like you. Thanks for everything and I'll see you soon...just not real soon. God Bless Us All. I love you...always will.

I got my first job this summer as a summer job at my local grocery store. I worked there as a person who would bag groceries for customers. I worked alongside many different cashiers but there was this one cashier that was my absolute favorite I will not say her name for privacy reasons. She was very nice and fun to talk to and hang out with she is 5 years older then me and as the days went by this entire summer the more and more I liked her. If i needed someone to talk to at work she was there and it was great times. But then today on my last few hours of work she told me that this was her last day working at the store before she had to go back to Nebraska for college and she said that she wouldnt come back to visit for a while. When my work ended I told her farewell and that she was very fun to work alongside with and when I walked out of the store I took one look at her for the last time in a while if not the very last time. Now I'm here listening to this song just thinking about her and missing her!
