I love the reborn and cut ties with the family plot and I've seen five of the plot. So far including this, I've seen three of the same plot with the siblings reading the lead's diary. There is a ML equivalent of this where he uses is past life knowledge to get ahead of the game. For example in this she remembers the band getting popular so she buys all the records and sells it back later for more. In the ML version he remembers spoiled chicken feed that would wipe out the chicken farms so he buys all the eggs. If anyone is interested in the other versions especially the ML equivalent version, I have a playlist called Reborn and cut ties with the family with all the versions I've come across so far.

Even though it is hard watching the male members of the FL's biological family try to regain her trust, you have to remember that she put up with their neglect, violence, and abuse for 3 years! It was the culmination of a lifelong dream to have a family, and from the moment they brought her home, she was given less care than a servant in their family. Each rejection must have devastated this child who desperately wanted to love and be loved. Once she left, she could not risk her fragile heart again. Her mother was obviously traumatized and filled with hatred about having to bear a 4th child, but that doesn't excuse her abuse. I loved that the FL still opened her heart to the people who cared about her. ❤ If her bio family really wanted to earn her forgiveness, they should turn up and support her in the background for all her special events. It will take years, if at all, for the broken child inside her to open her heart to them again. It is not her responsibility to forgive them, it is theirs to prove that they can be trusted. Plus they still try to take advantage of her connections to get themselves out of trouble financially. Maybe it's their sense of entitlement that bothers me so.

The most realistic ending for this story line yet. She's not happy, but she's not sad. I would love to see one that had forgiveness. I'm not saying reconciliation is needed, but it's important to remember that when hate and revenge consume you, you get burned too. When forgiveness consumes you, you don't get burned. This is a version that has it closest to the truth for sure. I loved that she finally let them go at the end. If she had continued to harm them, it was obvious that it would harm her too.

Enough is enough with the violence against women, when is it going to stop.The writers need to come up with a better solution than this because it's happening in every dam drama now. It's becoming so repetitive and boring and only encouraging society that this is the normally way for this to happen.I cannot understand why the fake sister is able to get away with all her bullshit and the parents and 3 brothers believe her. I agree that forgiveness is for/more beneficial to the victim than the abuser. However, ppl are forgetting that FL was an abandoned child for 15 years. She finally reunites with her biological family only to spend the next 3 years emotionally & physically abandoned by them (even though living under the same roof) as well as being physically abused. As someone who actually lived that experience, I am here to tell you that forgiveness is not easy, especially when all your attempts at reconciliation are rebuffed at every turn. And every incident of rejection is a new knife wound to the heart. Eventually, that heart is covered with calloused scars that hopefully provide a protective shell from further abuse. People asking her to forgive her biological family need understand that she cannot trust them/their words for even one second. The best form of protection she has to distance - phyically & emotionally. And that's what she did. This is the reason she cannot forgive them bc forgiveness means a softening of the heart. Softening a wounded heart means making yourself more vulnerable to new wounds. Please note that she is very open, very loving, & very trusting towards those who love & care for her unconditionally. She'll be fine!

So in the last scene when she bought back the house and gave it to the maid to take care of it, if I understood correctly, she still thought of her family, but left it up to them to turn their life around and move back in again. She basically gave them a last way out, like a last kindness. But she would no longer be part of their lives. I liked this version the best, it has the strongest message, I think.

While I do agree with her ex-family’s retribution, I still think that she needs to forgive them to completely heal herself. She wasn’t all that happy in the end. Besides, forgiving and letting go of her past hurts doesn’t mean she needs to go back with them. All that hatred and desire for vengeance bottled up may become her own undoing someday. That has been proven to be dangerous even in real life. But oh Well, this is drama, so what can one expect? 😅 At least they all got punished in the end.

I appreciate the realism of this version of the story. FL never became truly heartless. She spoke cruel words out of spite, but deep down still cared about her biological family. It's not easy to cut ties and I feel this drama showed that well. The way it ended, I feel that with enough time and earnest effort from the family, they could all be on speaking terms again. Not a loving family like FL wanted, but at least amicable. I do wonder though, why do the bad family members always expect years of abuse to wear away in an instant just because a heartfelt apology was given??? Selfish until the very end. Lol. They should put in YEARS worth of effort to wear away YEARS worth of pain and make amends. And even then, they should not expect things to be as they could have been. Great drama though. I enjoyed all of the actors. And I also liked that Fei Fei did not go crazy and try to kill FL like in most versions of this story. She knew the family was heartless and that getting rid of FL would not suddenly fix all her problems. And inevitably she tried to jump ship. 😂

I'm still waiting for a storyline where the lead forgives their family. When someone is truly sorry and changed, forgiveness is the right thing to do. Forgiveness and mercy are for those who have it. People can be carried away by the idea of revenge but that's not good nor right. agree.... I come from a home of severe neglect and abuse. The more I hated. The more I hurt me. When I forgave, I was free. They could no longer live rent free in my head. I've cut ties because they are toxic, but I no longer dwell on the pain they caused. My father has reached out and given me a sincere apology for neglecting to protect me.
