Still believe after all these years, Cindy Walker's speech that night was the greatest I've ever seen. So authentic and touching!

You give your hand to me...and then you say hello. And I can hardly speak, my heart is beating so. As anyone could tell, you think you know me well, but you don't know me. Perhaps the greatest opening lyrics ever put to pen.

I was working in a restaurant in Brentwood when Cindy died. Eddy and his wife came in that day. I told them I was sorry for their loss. We cried together.

My dad Al Baker accompanied her when she sang at Youth For Christ in Inglewood, CA in the '50s. She was also one of the stars in Mr. Texas Billy Graham's first evangelistic movies he ever made. So good seeing her be honored in this way.. Well deserved.
