I love watching you set up your bullet journal way more than any other planner youtuber people. I think it's because you're awesome and fun and make it all feel very approachable and...well, maybe not easy but doable. Like I finish a video and think that maybe I could be aesthetic AF in my bujo/planner too. And that's coming from someone who doesn't letter or draw. So thanks! Also, Roald Dahl - I was going to go super basic with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but I think it's actually The Witches. And My Uncle Oswald, but that's very much not a children's book.

I just got your lettering book in the mail yesterday and I haven't been able to put it down. Congrats on writing a book about lettering that actually teaches you lettering. I have bought so many different books and none of them compare to yours. Matilda was my favorite as a child; but the BFG was a close second (and it is my FAVORITE to read aloud to my own kids...you get to say so many funny things). Also, years before I even wanted kids, my husband and I went to some book store that was going out of sale and I bought a box set for “some day just in case we do have kids” because those books were such an enjoyable part of my childhood.

I didn’t discover Roald Dahl until I became a teacher. My students love all of his books, especially The Witches. I didn’t learn to enjoy reading until 6th grade when I found The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. That set me off on a reading binge that I carry on to this day. 😊 P.S. Two of my favorite children’s books are The One and Only Ivan and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. They are great for adults, too, and I highly recommend them to anyone 8 and older.

I loved your little rant on doing what works for you. I started out bullet journaling thinking I needed to have certain spreads and have them a certain way but the whole point is that you are creating something that is all your own and the spreads need to be what works for you otherwise there is no point in doing them unless you just like to draw ..I guess... Anyways, love your set up and always keeping things real.

The Secret Garden is one of my favorite children centric books. I was a weird kid and read things like The Hobbit/Lord of Rings series and The Metamorphosis by Kafka quite young. Mom had the Reader Digest kids versions of many other classics too like Moby Dick & The Three Musketeers. A punishment for a while was to copy pages from the giant unabridged dictionary we had until Mom realized we liked reading it.

Maybe this is too extra, but could you do a series of videos over simple bullet journal themes? Like where you take each drawing a little slower and show a couple variations on it? You could have a couple main elements and show a couple small details that could be used to fill up empty space. I’m relatively new to decorating my bullet journal, and I’m having to think of really simple themes that I can decorate with. Last month’s was bubbles and this month is going to be Tetris - both pretty simple to draw

I must have liked it because the book that always pops into my head from elementary school is Strider. I don't remember hardly anything about it other than a child who went blind and his guide dog. Part of me wants to read it again, but I'm not sure I want to read that with an adult PoV. I can't remember much else from then so it must have struck a chord.

Roald Dahl books -- so hard to choose, but overall I'm going to say The Witches bc I read it as an adult and literally LOL'd and read sections to my Reading Group. After that comes James and Giant Peach, I know it's a dark horse, but I absolutely love it! After that the Charlie books probably. Confession: I haven't read Matilda, but now Cindy, I will amend that! Gorgeous setup and HAPPY F'KNG BIRTHDAY YOU QUEEN YOU!!
