Cinema 4D R20 tutorial - Inflated text animation

G’day guys, Sean Dove here, back with another Cinema 4D quick tip!
Today I wanted to take a look at how we can create this fun text inflate animation using the pose morph tag to drive it.
To initially set this up we are going to be using a technique that EJ from Eye Design recent showed us. In his amazing tutorial he shows us how to create these cloth inflation simulations and gets absolutely incredible results! So using his technique we are going to art direct an inflated and deflated state of our text then take advantage of the pose morph tag and the new falloff system to have full control animating between the two different states.
Make sure you check out EJs tutorial also, Ill leave a link down below - his understanding of cloth dynamics and anything Cinema 4D related for that matter really is second to none and I must say I owe a great deal of what I know to him - Cheers EJ

Great tutorial. I got very similar results by just using the sculpt brushes and the pose morph tag. I always find cloth very difficult to control in C4D.

Qick tipp, if your using R23 and can't find the regular grid as me, u have to open the section "Caps Type", then select "regular Grid", and "Size" round about 1 or 2. Then tick the box "Quad Dominant". I went crazy, so maybe this helps someone :) Great tutorial !

Nice! I'd suggest to make a little of automation. You have a lot of manual copy-pastes here. Have you tried to clone the attractors along the text volume?

Great tutorial. Is there a work-around for Dress-O-matric to pose Mograph? I inflated my shape using the Dresser. For some reason, the Pose mograph doesn't work with it.

You can also just press Ctrl+Drag and it also copies without doing the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V thing..

Awesome tutorial. I ran into a nearly 1 hour google search and keyboard trial issue at 3:50 creating the connect. On a Mac holding Alt doesn't bring up the sub-menu. You need to click and hold. I'm new to C4D and I was losing my mind trying and googling every possible thing to no avail, so I only wanted to mention it to maybe help anybody else out there. Holding and clicking is a new UI method to me but it seems so simple now.

I tried this again without the video and when I add the Jiggle deformer after the the Morph + Linear Field, There would be no Jiggle animation...Though I did try adding the Jiggle deformer before the Morph and it worked fine. Does it matter in c4d what order you add deformers when animating?

Choose Regular Grid at Caps Type and then klick on the arrow next to "Caps Type" and check the Quad Dominant Box

@BRC Sorry. Are you looking for expert tap? click the cloth tag in the object manager and look below(attributes manager). Expert is next to Cache. I hope this helps you.
