Your tutorials are fantastic. They have helped me out immensely, much more than the C4D help or Lynda.com. I came to C4D from Keyshot as a rendering program for product design, and the controls and level of detail are out of this world compared to KS. I still have a lot to figure out, but your videos have helped so much.

Hello Nick. You and the entire GSG team rock! You guys are gods in the industry mehn. Respect to you! I have been thinking if you guys can consider making plugins to simplify these in Cinema. Is there any possibilities? Or what do you think? 1. Easy Time Remapping plugin 2. Easy Shadow & Reflection Catcher 3. Camera move from object to object in C4D eg. In VideoCopilot's AE Sure Target tutorial 4. Color Shader Effector

could you please do a tutorial on like messing about with a 3D Head scan, like having vines growing onto the surface of the face, and like things growing under the skin, and things clamping on the face, or like zoomin inside the face to see weird like webs of organs but like super artsy.. pleaseee

Nice job Nick, I didn't know you could layer multiple reflection channels and they would combine at 100% Normal transfer mode.
@Greyscalegorilla

That's the secret of the Fresnel. That allows other layers to show through at different angles.

amazing tutorial! cant wait to try.. Now Need Some advice... From a budget point of view seeing as Im still a student, wanted to build a 32 core xeon PC for standard render with ur HDR rig ect or go with octane and invest in a good graphics card?.....

At work, I'm using a BOXX computer the price of a Civic. At home, I'm using a 2 year old i7 4970k and 980 GTX SLI with Octane. I was a long time V-ray user, so I thought it was a pretty good investment for the speed and the price.

Any ideas to replicating the effect in Octane? Converting C4D materials to Octane usually works (more or so than not) but it doesnt track over in this case. Any tips GSG? Anyone?

@@Greyscalegorilla thanks.. how can I get a faster render because when I use redshift materials and render it can take almost 15 minutes per frame 9n a project animation that's set at 60 fps s9 takes a very long time as 8m paying 40 pound a month for redshift... I have a channel called VISION X VISUALS, there's a lancer evolution driving in the fog and that was only 4 seconds of render that I had to loop on movavi editor after redshift took 2 hours justbto render 24 frames
