My dog just walked up to my left right as I started playing this video, which has your voice mostly coming out of the left audio channel. So for a moment I thought my dog started talking to me and it scared me. I even jumped up lol.

Haha. I was unaware that my early videos were only left channel. I've since learned to fix that.

Hey Pappy, regarding doing an IK rig for a robotic arm do you know how to limit each arm to a specific angle/axis. your approach is great, however, each joint has complete degrees of freedom, instead of each axis holding a specific degree of freedom being given to each node/ball? THANKS!!!
@pappystutorials4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have not played around with it, but you can limit the angle by going to the joint attributes and look at kinematics limits. Here's the help: help.maxon.net/r23/en-us/#html/OCAJOINT-ID_CA_JOINT_OBJECT_IK_GROUP.html edit: hmm... that's with actual joint objects. I'm not sure how to do that with an IK chain. I'll look into it.

@@pappystutorials Thanks for the quick reply if I find a solution, I will get back to you with my findings.

@@pappystutorials So far using the protection tag is the only avenue for each joint, and them using several IK (having IK goals and base based on the direction of rotation between member) gives decent results. However, some joint will require pose morphs and user interaction tags.)

@@pappystutorials instagram.com/stories/lorenzo.de.medici/2459958055308590004?igshid=5sn7bsumlvqr check out my hack attempt at ik rigging with limited movement, finally getting a hold of it, it's a case of having each node look in the direction of the target and restrict or emphasis angles of rotations through the protection tag. It's more an art and less a science.

Thank you. Back when I started making tutorials I had some equipment issues that I did not notice because I only listened thru the monitor speaker. I am now better at correcting the audio. I appreciate the comment.
