What type of screw it is? I never found a screw having with more than one thread openings at the end of screw. I think it's always single line(thread) rounds around the rod to make screw. But it's nice tutorial, your method gave me an idea to create screw/nut in C4D. Thanks.

Yes, you're right, most bolts & screws are single-threaded. But there are a couple that vary between 3 - 5 threads that allow for stronger grip. Usually for wall-mounted objects, like flat screen tvs, etc... They're not as common, but they're used sometimes in the USA. To adjust this, you would simply need to adjust how many teeth there are in the cogwheel. So simply change it from 5 to 1, and then in the sweep nurbs, adjust the end rotation accordingly.

When i make it editable, it doesnt generate cap1 and cap2 only bolt object with 10 orange triangles on the right side, what is the problem ? Im usign C4D R21

Excellent question. I held off on updating to R21 until S22 dropper, but I may see about installing R21 to test what you’re experiencing. Let me followup with you once I can pinpoint what you might be experiencing.

the select children/make editable thing doesn't work
@Colorcubic3 жыл бұрын
You may need to select children twice for it to work.
