The only problem with this arguement is, Twilight herself was being an asshole too. Instead of, trusting her student to help a former rival, like Twilight helped her or, let Fluttershy help Discord, she tries to get Starlight to be friends with anyone other than Trixie. The thing is, all of them were in the wrong. Twilight was in the wrong for trying to pick new friends for Starlight and not letting her make her own friends. Starlight was in the wrong for abandoning Twilight without saying anything. And also for skipping the dinner. Trixie was in the wrong for trying to use Starlight so she could get back at Twilight. So the moral really didn't excuse any of those actions.
