We were not aware of the directors crimes until we started reading the comments today. We do not respect or support this director in any way and we hope he gets what he deserves. This reaction is therefore dedicated to the commitment and hard work of the 500+ other employees e.g. actors, producers, cinematographers, lighting technicians, editors, sound technicians, director of photography, runners, location managers, hair and makeup artists, concept artists, production designers, VFX artists, writers and many many more employees that brought this movie to life. Fuck the director, but well done to everyone else who worked on this movie we hope they all enjoyed our reaction and thoughts to the movie

@@1000000man1 Part 3 was a Sci-Fi channel creation and takes place directly after the events of the 1st movie with the original idea of Trish and the psychic woman searching for Darry. The bus story from Part 2 was only supposed to be a scene or two in the "original" script of Part 2, but the writers/director expanded the minor bus scene into the full-fledged Part 2 sequel. Part 3.....can eat the inside of dead donkey's butt, and Gina Phillips is barely in that movie.

This is my all time favorite horror film. I grew up in the middle of nowhere so the setting and cast resembles a lot of what I saw growing up. I always felt like the creeper was following me home on my late nights back from football games or seeing my girlfriend at the time. The feeling of emptiness and nothing in this film is creepy to me. A subtle part of the film that I love is that if you pay attention to the close up shots of the Creeper, you'll see that he's going blind (his eyes are foggy and pale). Which is why he only took Darry's eyes. He did this to replace his old eyes, and because of what Darry saw in the House of Pain.

Fun fact and one of the most interesting occurrences of censorship I've seen is that on the original UK DVD release during the boiler room scene where we hear Danny's screams, these were edited out on the DVD likely to give the film a 15 certificate. If you were to turn the subtitles on, it still mentions the screaming and if you turn the language track to the director's commentary, the screams can be heard. Glad to see they were reinstated for 101 Films release.

This is the story Jeepers Creepers was loosely based on: There is indeed a real life inspiration for the antagonist of the Jeepers Creepers film franchise, and it's none other than real life killer Dennis DePue. For those unfamiliar with the story, DePue shot his wife in 1990 after she filed for divorce, and continued to dump her body behind an abandoned school house.

Only fair that the nonce suffer a life time worth too. But I do believe if they can't own certain parts of their anatomy responsibly then they should be forfeit. First time I watched Jeepers Creepers, I litterally had no expectation for it. I thought I'd watch a by the book early 2000 teenage horror movie and i was prepared to be not scared, not intellectually stimulated but having a lot of late 90's early 2000's campy fun. While the movie had that, it was surprisingly creepy and effective and easily stood up above the majority of similar films of the time.

For me, this movie starts to feel less scary and more cheesy when they show too much of the monster. Specifically, around the time when it's jumping over their car right before they run over it a few times. It just revealed way too much, took away the mystery and gave us something way too concrete. If they'd hidden the monster's face more, or made it never fully visible on screen (perhaps always jumping just out of frame), I think it would have been a lot more effective. Everything up until that car scene is, to me, terrifying.

One of my favorite horrors. Loved how they slowly peeled away it's true form. I didn't much care for the old lady part though and for sure, they had the opportunity for the creature to pick away at the cops there but perhaps it was a budget thing as well. I saw this in the theatre and it didn't last long. A rather small release from what I remember. The 2nd is a fun film so you should both definitely check it out. Takes place right after this one and you'll learn more about it too. But yeah, the first 2 movies were the best. 3rd was a disappointment.
