@@jakubrejak1114 I think it’s cause this movie at least tried to do something different. Yeah they still did the typical action stuff at the end but you could tell that’s the part they hated the most. In every one of their videos you can see them show lots of appreciation for unconventional things movies do and they loathe whenever movies go into those formulas that filmmakers overuse.
@jakubrejak11142 жыл бұрын
@@jon83chewy You can't have a superhero movie like No Way Home without a large scale colorful final clash at the end. What did Venom 2 try to do different? Spiteful banter between two comedic individuals is nothing new. No Way Home on the other hand had the balls to make Peter a nonexistent figure to everyone in his world. He's a true nobody and that's something he'll have to live with for the rest of his life.
@jon83chewy2 жыл бұрын
@@jakubrejak1114 I can’t speak about their opinions on No Way Home because they haven’t released a video for it yet. But with Venom 2, it would’ve been easy to follow a blueprint similar to most of the other Marvel projects, but Andy Serkis said you know what I have an idea that’s kinda weird let’s make this a parody of romantic comedies and have Venom and Eddie be like an old married couple and cinemasins obviously digs that. They’re all about outside the box thinking. With No Way Home I agree it’s a big deal having pretty much everything in Spider-Man’s life be taken away from him so that they can be protected, they might even take a sin off for it, but the movie still follows a formula that most marvel movies are known for. If you want don’t know what I mean by formula then ask what’s so different between the Spider-Man films. Is it bad guy team ups? Nope Sam Raimi did that first. Is it the female love interest that turns into a damsel in distress? Nope all Spider-Man’s have that. I’m rambling but my point is they appreciate the fact that they tried something new and were humorous about it. Even though this movie had its fair share of cliches and copy/paste moments.

The movie felt seriously imbalanced when it came to how the acts were set up. Act 1 seemed like 90% of the movie, Act 2 like maybe 8% and Act 3 2%. It just really felt like there was suppose to be so much more to it. Look at it this way, we got one single fight between Carnage and Venom. No mid Act 2 fight where the villain can have a bit of a win against the hero and hero has to reevaluate themselves going into Act 3 maybe even leading to character development for both the villain and hero. Nope we got 'That's a red one' as the only explaination to Carnage and possibly the worst thing about the movie. Hi, I'm a comic nerd and I'll explain some of the questions about Carnage and Venom Symbiotes naturally bond with hosts and likely bond through the skeleton or the Nerves in a human body to gain advantages such as hightened senses and durability. However is a special case since he merged with the host's blood which has its own upsides and downsides. Carnage has terrible senses and is easier to blind as well as a durability nerf which means that by default, he can't sustain in fights as long and is more effected by fire. However, he has several advantages through his more flexible shapeshifting which can allow him to make tendrils and fly. He even has enough matter in his body to tear off pieces of himself to launch at enemies like knives, spikes, axes and big ass blade. This is all because he has a ridiculous healing factor that can effectively heal from any wound as well as replace mass in his body with little risk. It is possible for Carnage to run out of blood to kill him or Cleatus, but he can always kill someone else and consume them to restore that blood. That's why killing the priest gave him a power up. The biggest downside to Carnage is his lack of experience with hosts and his naturally deranged mind being paired with another. Venom and Eddie work since they both have distinguished personalities with cooperative motives which allows for more creative thinking. Carnage doesn't have that since both him and the host have the same mindset with different motives. Another question asked alot is the knowledge of the symbiotes and their personalities. It really just boils down to the host; when a symbiote bonds with a host, they gain the knowledge, memories and some personality from the host. If they only have one host, the personality will be based entirely on that host. Venom just so happens to have mixed with dozens of people including Spiderman and Deadpool.

The biggest sin in this movie is the fact that Carnage is in a PG-13 movie.
@ther3aper5612 жыл бұрын
1) I thought the whole implication of "That's a red one" is because Carnage is fused with Kasady's insides whereas all other symbiotes so far have been separate beings that are inside their host but form around them. Carnage seems to actually form out of Kasady's body instead of being a separate being. 2) Harrelson seemed like the perfect choice to play Kasady but overall this movie felt packing in length and over all development. It's fun and I love both it and the first but it didn't feel complete

I enjoyed a ton of what this movie had to offer, but the fact that Venom and Carnage are on near equal footing for the majority of their fight, given what we see Carnage is capable of as well as symbiote lore and how Venom reacts to Carnage, their fight shouldn’t have felt considerably less one-sided as it did between Venom and Riot

I enjoyed this movie for what it was and Carnage looked amazing, but it left me wanting more. It was too short (could've been at least 1 hour 50 minutes), Cletus/Carnage's motivations towards Eddie/Venom weren't clear (they wanted revenge for no reason), Carnage had little screentime (even less with Venom because they don't battle until the end), and the conflict between Venom and Eddie vying for control of each other started to wear thin (especially when they separated and went their separate ways again). Plus, Venom hopping from people to people after separating from Eddie and killing them, basically leaving a trail of dead innocent people in his wake, only to end up at a club seemed SO out of character. Especially since him and Eddie agreed to be good guys. I think having Venom and Carnage meet/battle 1-to-2 times before the finale or at least having Venom fight crime and bond even more with Eddie (ala Lethal Protector) while Carnage wreaks havoc in the background, leading to their eventual confrontation might've made a better overall plot. And giving Cletus/Carnage clear motivations for revenge would’ve made him more compelling as a character.

That hive mind may grant him knowledge of gov't and private entities from other universes, but I doubt there's a symbiote that has pesessed a hacker. And more importantly, they can't interface like that with electronics. That's excluding the 90 extra sins for bastardizing and killing off one of the most iconic villains of Spiderman.
