Chorizo is more like sausage filling but with no casing. In order for most sausages to maintain that dick shape is because of the casing. If you take it off the sause will bassically become ground sausage. Thats essentially chorizo, plus it has so much oils and grease i doubt it would hold up anyways. And yes i know you can buy chorizo in a casing but anyone whose actually tried cooking it in the casing knows it shrinks and falls off and your chorizo loses that desired dick shape.

Just to clarify some things 1.-The altares and ofrendas are supossed to look that way, maybe a little less cempasuchil flower but the food are for the dead not for us, the fire hazard in the movie has no excuse because we use veladoras(basically a candle in a glass) to prevent that, not just candles 2.- The bullying and teasing at Hector is quite normal, Dia de muertos is know for making fun of death, the best example for this are the "calaveritas" (little poems where a dead person challenge, mocks or trick the death) 3.-Hector couldn't tell Imelda the truth about his death because he didn't knew it until Miguel relates the story of the poison Srry for the grammar

The movie never says that who remembers you has to be a blood relative. One of the gags is that a skeleton with braces is on his dentist's ofrenda. And as far as Ernesto knew, he had no family to remember him, but his fans remembered him and that kept him in the land of the dead. So, while I deeply sympathize with your not wanting kids, you should be fine without them, by this movie's logic

Do you believe that my father had a friend, and only years later he discovered that they were cousins (and that, therefore, he and I had other cousins)? They're rare coincidences (I've heard several), of course, but they can happen 👍 I think that this always depends on destiny, and in the case of the movie, destiny plays an important role, so I'm not surprised in the end (even though it's always a coincidence and although in any case everything ended well from a tragedy, fortunately) 😉👍

The chorizo part was a joke, because in Mexico it's often compared to a dick. So it's a dirty joke the creators put in to allude to that. Those musicians knew he didn't actually choke to death, but it's a funny concept to them. Also, I think the "knuckles" joke was less about hoping it'll go over kids heads but setting up how fatherly Hector truly is -- he's the best :D

The line, "and her... knuckles.. they drag on the floor" was supposed to mean her breasts drag on the floor. Hector replaced whatever word was originally in the song (maybe chi-chi's) and used knuckles instead, because Miguel was in the room. "There are children present," he told his friend after he complained those aren't the right words. Hector was being fatherly.

"Sins" that are actually explained in the movie: #22 Miguels family is shown searching for him in the cemetery #23 Ernesto hands off the guitar before he's crushed by the bell #39 Dante is a Xoloitzcuintli dog which are traditionally believed to be guides for spirits in the afterlife, something that's commented on by multiple characters, that's why he guides Miguel through the plot, especially the points involving Hector. Miguel was searching for his ancestor and Dante is aware that Hector is who he is really looking for, not Ernesto, something that's also blatantly stated later in the film. #50 Hector immediately explains that no one knows what happens after the final death. The point that death is a mystery, even in a movie about the afterlife. #63 Hector got the dresses from a costume designer who was tasked with making multiple identical copies of that same costume for a performance. Earlier she admonishes him for losing the one he was wearing while trying to sneak into the land of the living. #68 Yeah? He's spent most of the movie slowly transitioning into a skeleton which would be dying #72 they still have to get Hector's picture back from Ernesto #74 see #39 #76 Hector didn't know he was murdered until like 10 minutes ago, so what would he have to explain to Imelda and why would she have reason to forgive him? Both of them still thought about him as just a guy who abandoned his family until that bit about being murdered on his way home changed both their views about him. #77 that's the whole point the damn movie has been making #85 Miguel's parents obviously chase him home since they show up like half a minute later in the film. His mom is pregnant, she can't sprint like a 12 year old can.

3 things that bothered me. 1. If you paid attention at the beginning, you'd notice Ernésto handed his guitar to a staff member back stage. Hence how the guitar never got damaged in the first place. 2. Everything is skull shaped because it's an important part to the holiday in the first place. Calaveras are a popular and easy decoration to make for Día de los Muertos in Mexico. The term is mostly used for sugar skulls but can be used for other material used. 3. No one knows what happens when the final death occurs. Even Héctor confirmed it. It's supposed to be a symbol of when we truly die. When no one remembers you anymore, you fade away like a memory. It's just like how the memories that were discarded in Inside Out faded as did Bing Bong. When you're forgotten, that's when you truly die.

I agree, however it does happen in real life though. For real, most people are total shite at communicating things. I can't tell you just personally how many misunderstandings people have had, because they sorta assume the other person has information they do not, and hi-jinks ensue. However, in real life, those hi-jinks just cause stress and sads.

5 sins off for actually getting my dad to cry, which hadn't happened in around 11 years before we watched this
@NoLifeGamer10806 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna sin you for sinning the chorizo joke. The same thing annoyed me when I watched it in the movie because I had to explain the joke to one of my friends. They're not making fun of the fact that he choked to death they made fun of him because he choked on chorizo. In mexican slang chorizo is another way of saying dick. So basically the joke is he died by choking on a dick, not because he died my choking.
@thetoontastictoon17206 жыл бұрын
Thanks for explaining that joke, I didn't get it at all. I thought it was really stupid and mean that they were supposedly laughing at Hector for choking on a food item, but now I get it.

The rule of CinemaSins - however much they love a movie, however unfair and unjust a sin, however much they may “miss the point” it’s in the nature of the channel to be as cynical as possible. Because it’s what they do.

I think my only gripe is that when you see skele-coco she’s made to still look elderly, and everyone else in the family still has black hair and younger ‘features’. Maybe they just all died young
@leticiakay64226 жыл бұрын
MakoTaco The ladies who Hector claimes as fake tías looked like they were about 60 or so at their time of death, so yes it's from age. You can just really tell with Coco 1) so little kids can spot her better and 2) bc she was like 95 when she died

MakoTaco Well, the average human lifespan has been increasing over the decades. Vaccinations and general better health care are the main reasons. Point is, they may have died before they started looking old by today's standards, but that wasn't considered young in their time.
