@@MosssyFox it definitely doesn't. This dude was right. This movie has ZERO established rules and background. Its major selling point was "Huge robots fighting". They didn't even put effort into putting a story into how robot boxing was developed in the first place and they didn't create any rules such as people who have the license to own a robot. Also, the fact that random civilians have access to literal killing machines made zero sense to me. Anyone could easily use this robot to beat people and commit crimes other crimes. You can't count that out as a possibility because at the beginning of the movie the robot was beating up a bull, a living thing, which was technically animal cruelty by the way. The reason why iRobot worked is because it had established rules and backstory behind the development of the robots. It had proper world-building. Real steel has terrible world-building. I like Real steel, but they could have done better. And if a sequel is made, it should be more like a remake rather than the continuation of these guys' lives. their story is wrapped up (although done poorly), time for a new one.

Real Steel was such a feel good movie :') its a real mood booster, my day is always made everytime I finished watching it. Kinda wish there's a spin off, maybe a netflix series based off of their universe, but also didn't really want a direct sequel to it since I think the way they left off the 1st movie is amazing already. Maybe a related spin off series who follow a diffrent family but based on the same universe, with Atom or adult Max's character hovering in the background as a legendary bot champion or something, cuz tbh that apocalyptic-but-not-really-futuristic setting of the world is pretty good and interesting to explore. I know "chappie" is kinda on the same theme with it, but it doesn't feel as fun and as immersive as Real Steel. Also, idk whatever ppl said, this movie's cgi is still holding up today. That practical robot model they prepare is a major aspect for it.

Well we don't have any Yeager's yet or if you're the anime type of person franxx or in my mind corsairs there robots that are about the size of a Franxx and take either to normal pilots to use it or once Spartan pilot to use it and there were about mirrors what you do especially if you're Spartan pilot as it will follow your movements to the inch and if you're Spartan pilot you have an ancilla and an ai to help you pilot 4 example from mine Frost 3-4-3 and Roland

when the person is facing the same direction of Atom, they are in sync of which side is what doing what. this is a shadow, yes. but there's also mirroring moves for sparring purposes. would you REALLY want to turn your back on this robot when teaching him to fight? the fact is, the robot is mirroring the image when face to face because the robot is built as a sparring robot. it's supposed to fight you punch for punch, as if you are fighting a mirror. but it was still a fighting robot in the early years of the sport, where controls were still being created. so in order to make it able to fight, they made it "shadow". because it is fighting WITH the controller, whether it is mirroring a spar or shadowing a fight, the mode was called 1 thing. it's the same mode, just made so the robot fights like the one who controls it. 1 mode. 1 name. "oh, it's mirror and shadow mode" sounds a lot less sexy as "shadow mode"
