Well, here's a late '90s action film that plenty of people love, but those people are all... wrong. This is a sinful movie. Con Air has lots of sins.
Next week: animated Disney sins and music sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

I am a retired air traffic controller. A few years ago I had a Justice (the proper call sign, not ConAir) come into my airspace. I told the pilot that his altitude was going to be turbulent, and suggested a lower altitude with reported smoother rides. His response was priceless... He's trained as a deadly weapon. Legally speaking, him punching someone is legally equated to stabbing or shooting them. Although the knife the guy he killed would legally justify his responding with lethal force.
@josephdillard9907
@josephdillard9907 2 жыл бұрын
That "trained as a deadly weapon" thing is a Hollywood myth. It works ok for movies but in real life, in America, whether you're former military or not, regardless of what training you may have had, you absolutely have the right to defend yourself. At least, unless you live in a commie state like California, then who knows? Or nowadays if it's BLM or antifa randomly attacking you, then you actually get arrested for defending yourself apparently.

"...this movie could have been over in 6 minutes...". My instant reaction to the harsh sentence Cage's character is given when there is plenty of mitigating circumstances, plus, clear evidence of him not being the aggressor in the situation. Maybe. Eons ago, my grandfather's brother kicked the Holy hello out of a guy who assaulted his wife, my aunt. He didn't just threaten her, like this, I mean he brutally hurt her. My uncle was army and he put the guy in a coma. He ended up being convicted of attempted murder and served over a decade. He never got so much as a speeding ticket before or since and still did serious time. He got a tough judge and his crappy lawyer talked him out of a jury trial. 🤷 lots of injustice in this world.

@@michelleprieur1 hear stories like that all the time. I got a buddy whose wife kept getting texts from a random dude in his battalion to send him nudes. The guy was going as far as threatening her and so forth. My buddy told his commander what was up, and by the end of their conversation said if the commander wasn't going to do anything, he would. Buddy ended up driving to the guys house where the MPs met him, and took the firearms he had with him. Don't remember where he was at, but the crime of passion law there would've protected him if he ended up killing the guy. In the military you don't know who you're going to meet, and never know what type of stories you will hear. The one about your uncle, I have heard similar situation from someone a long time a go. @@BradTheAmerican Homestuck, like maybe three quarters of this comment section. 413 is the most important recurring number in Homestuck, because the comic started (in-universe and out) on 4/13/09. We Homestucks have flocked to this video because Con Air is of some importance in Homestuck. There's a major character who loves the movie and will reference and/or reenact certain scenes given the opportunity (one of these moments is animated and set to the song that plays at the end when Poe gives his daughter the bunny), and one of the bunnies used in the filming of the movie is, after almost thirty years of time travel shenanigans, a few makeovers and some universe hopping, plot critical.

Cindino tried to double cross them and leave them, but Poe wrecked the jet, exposing Cindino which is why he got burned alive by Cyrus. And then the fact that Larkin had called in for backup meant that they needed to get back on the prison plane and get it back in the air, though they had hardly any fuel left.

Tbf, regarding Bubba's sweating, then poor control of blood sugars can lead to nerve damage and if it's nerves which affect sweat glands then excessive sweating can occur. It's actually more common with diabetics and not all that unusual. Admittedly, sweating is more prone for low blood sugars but it's not as much of a sin as made out... the worst was the fact he instantly recovers upon receiving insulin when having a hyper (not "hypo" as Cage calls it) when it takes around 30 mins to be registered by the body.
