Thank you so much for fearlessly taking a stand on this issue and making a great video essay along with it! I truly believe that it is a miracle that an amazing film like Haider got a theatrical release without much controversy in 2014, when BJP had just come into power. Never thought I will see a mainstream Bollywood film showing a protagonist with Oedipus Complex, shouting Azad Kashmir slogans! Only Vishal Bhardwaj can do this!

English is more comfortable but I'd still follow along as long as you give the subtitles:) it's lovely how you break down this movie, always get to see something I didn't see before while watching your videos. While watching the video I was pleasantly surprised how I was able to see most of the relationships the first time I had watched the movie, proves the very first sentence with the which you open the video. The absolute talent of the maker of the play and the director/writer to place it into a different context.

I suggest you do this in whichever language feels comfortable to you. I had the subtitles on and found the subtitles more precise than the Hindi voice-over particularly for the discussion of England and the original plays. So, perhaps, it is better to pick the language as per the subject matter you are speaking about and the audience for whom you have a message to convey. For everyone else there can be subtitles in a range of languages. See if you can get friends from different parts of the country to help with that.

Haider is the best political film to have come out of India and this analysis is so on point. Another way of interpreting the movie is that Haider represents India, Ghazala represents Kashmir and Khurram represents Pakistan. Had read this when the film came out and it has stayed with me till now.
