CIPHERS CODE | A Short Film | Sci-Fi Emotional Suspense Short Film | Suspense Thriller Short Film

A small snapshot of a much larger story; The purpose of this film was to show that we are able to craft an incredibly high production project with a small budget. This project shows our full skillset. The focus of this project was to showcase our ability to do CGI, Compositing, VFX, action, practical props, makeup design, sound design, memorable voice acting, and dialog while telling an understandable story, that's emotional, and builds suspense in the most intense way we could in 6min.
Story:
In a world dominated by a government-contracted engineering firm called "Native," Cipher, a brilliant female engineer, creates a groundbreaking technology that can revolutionize structural and civil engineering, enabling designs and constructions within minutes. However, this technological marvel becomes a double-edged sword for Cipher.
Faced with the reality of a mandatory draft by "Native" at the age of 30, which would separate her from her daughter for decades, Cipher is torn. The technology she created could potentially allow her to see her daughter and liberate everyone from the clutches of "Native". At the same time, she becomes a direct target of the company, forcing her to run.
Cipher's groundbreaking technology illustrates the immense potential for innovation to reshape society for the better. However, it also highlights the potential consequences and ethical dilemmas that arise when powerful technologies fall into the wrong hands or are misused.
"Native" symbolizes corporate power and control over individuals' lives and choices. Cipher's decision to resist the company's demands and go on the run reflects the importance of maintaining individual agency and autonomy in the face of oppressive systems.
Cipher's dilemma underscores the sacrifices parents often face between their personal aspirations and their responsibilities to their children. Her struggle to balance her career ambitions with her desire to be present for her daughter resonates with the challenges many parents encounter.
Cipher's journey becomes a quest for freedom, both for herself and for society as a whole. Her actions demonstrate the lengths to which people will go to resist tyranny and fight for their rights and liberties.
Ultimately, the story offers a message of hope, showing that even in the darkest of times, individuals have the power to resist injustice and create a better future for themselves and future generations.

Your comment means so much! This was actually intended to be an example of what I would like to do with a bigger budget. It's a prototype, basically. It was meant to show what we are able to do, so now we are trying to pitch the idea to potential investors and producers to get funding. That's the only reason it's quietly released! Lol. We plan to have a much louder launch in the fall. But the fact you said this means so much. We put a lot of work into the universe, characters, and story. This isn't even half of it. It's a crazy world and I'm happy I got to bring this to life in the smallest package i could here. Thanks so much 🙏
