Thanks for your channel, I'm trying to show this to my Quran-alone muslim friends. They are actually harder to convince because they believe in zero hadith, don't accept anything the hadith say about history,etc. (b/c they think hadith were fabricated by the enemies of Islam to slander the Quran and Muhammad) Furthermore they are hard to convince concerning these textual issues b/c they think the miracle of the code 19 shows the true Quran once they run their math program through all the manuscripts. I'm trying to talk to them and show them, one by one, but its hard work, they are really deep into code 19 and their own apologetics.

In Quran, Allah gives around 20 commands to "follow"/"obey" him and his messenger, and I see no way they can do that without sunnah. Muhammad is only named four times in Quran, and none of it contains his history, his words, his deeds, his wars! Were I Muslim, I'd probably try to deny the sunnah, too, but Islam is what it is, not what myriads of Muslims want it to be. Your zero hadith friends will have a problem. About 20% of the Quran has no context whatsoever. So how will they know what it says? It is as clear as mud. And the Quran mentions Muhammad 4 times, Mecca once, Bacca once, Jerusalem NEVER. It mentions Muhammad sins in Surah 48, Ayat 1-2.

I have memorised 2/3 of the Quran, many of my friends and family have completed the memorisation. Islam is an oral tradition and we carry the word of God in our hearts, its been passed down the centuries in this way. Errors by scribes can not be put forward as an way of proving that Quran is not preserved or false. I live in Cape Town, at the Auwal mosque, you will find a Quran, written 350 Years ago through memory, by a slave that was brought to the Cape, through the colonists of Europe. The Qur'an has slight variations and typography errors, but correct recitation without these mistakes can be heard in every mosque here, because, he passed the Qur'an to his family by memory. الحمدلله

Sir, I am amazed by your wonderful lecture on the lacking of the Quran. I have always considered this book as a godly book, as taught by my parents and teachers. But various youtube discussions made by traditional belief thin. and I started doubting. But still I could not arrive at a decision. I was scared to read the original religious books which were too lengthy and difficult to understand. And I could not find the solution. In such a situation, a friend of mine gave me a book on Quran, well, its title was, Knowledge of Quran for the non-Muslims". It was a very small book, hardly 125 page or so and published by the Amazon.com. It was written by an Indian author, and the language used was extremely suitable for me. From the very beginning, the author told against religions, and in favor of atheism. Then he narrated why religions were created by the money hungry people. And it narrated various ways for doing the same. Then, it narrated those in case of Muslim's religion. And everything including why regimental type of five times prayer was introduced, how it in fact targeted to conquire the world in the name of a religion etc. turned crystal clear to me. The book helped me to understand numerous unsolved and difficultly answered questions about the Quran. Now when you say, the names of Allah was later added, many lines were erased and changed etc., I understand the reasons, because I now understand there was nothing miraculous or godly, but were the creations of the shrewd selfish-minded people. Muslims have a tradition to memorize the entire qur'an since Muhammad times, this is a documented fact, so whether it is in a written form or not generations after generations of muslims accross centuries have been reciting it from memory, they don't depend on those manuscripts to authenticate the qur'an, you could easily summon people from any generation and they will recite you the qur'an. had there been any change in the qur'an definitely people who memorize the qur'an would have easily pointed out the differences and there would be a lot of documented debates of the issue, however this has not been the case. Nobody knows whose manuscript that one was in the first place.

🔹✝️ if we applied the same reasoning: there are scholars (atheists mostly) who way that Moses was just a fictional character, and the scriptures of the Torah were written by men. Sam Harris (a well known anti-theist) says that even a mediocre writer could compile sth like the book of Genesis. So I’d like you to apply all your analytical methods to the Bible as well. Another well known scholar like Bart EHRMAN says the Gospels were written by someone but assigning authorship to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John is groundless and unreasonable. The authorship was only assigned to them but there are no factual proofs. In other words, people believed in some scriptures and started treating them like inspired by God what’s exactly how the Quran is perceived by Muslims.

I’d love to know why they don’t have complete manuscripts in the 8th century. We have complete bibles in this century (and centuries before) so there’s really no excuse. The Muslims conquered lands so quickly. You’d think if Islam was significant to the conquerers we’d see copies and copies in all these different lands in the early years!! This is not the case. @olehomer1988 Hey thanks for the intetrsting point's but as a quick refutation: 16.67 - A sign for people who reason is purely talking about those that ponder on the complexities and wonders of existance, which of the favours of your Lord do you deny. Is it not wonderous that from grapes you can take both such good and such bad? 4.43 - you make a fairly sailent point here but if you think about who this verse is being spoken to (the the pre islamic pagans) these people were already drinking regularly so an instant change in behaviour would have been rather impossible. Instead the message is gradual in its effect first asking people not to attend prayer drunk. The point you make about the afterlife, as far as I understand the Wine in heaven has been described very differntly from the Wine on earth and has no intoxication effect as stated in the Quran so this would be fine right? Abrogation is used to explain situations like the one we have discussed above - it deals legal laws and not theological laws. Oh if you've not already, id reccomend reading the whole of Surah 16 (the Bees) it's actually quite wondrous. Take care.

Not at all convinced. A few different examples, most of it overlaps with another or is incomplete. This is easily explained by the age of the books. The erased and edited parts could be explained by scribal errors (just think if how many mistakes you would make when trying to write a book by hand) The fact remains: the quran was memorized from the beginning. If all the copies would have been lost today then we could still make a quran exactly like the ones we have. This was true for any moment in islamic history

On the Topic of the Bible, Can someone explain to me the following Why does Genesis 17-20 directly contradicts Genesis 16-12. In 17-20, Ishmael is blessed and fruitful (very positive). However, in 16-12, there are very bad words about Ishmael (very negative). Is god just not sure? Can god make mistakes in literature, or just is moody? Was there a transcription error that persisted like a mutation (for example red hair and blue eyes)???

It confirms my understanding that Quran can't be having certain statements as given by Prophet Muhammad because, Muhammad's personal life rad seriously contradictory to those verses in Quran!!! If you cannot recite you poem it doesn't mean others cannot memorize entire Quran. Apart from Quran there is NO scriptures memorized in whole by millions of people of different languages or races. There is none. 1. We don't just randomly accept recitation from any dick and Harry. 2. Quran is recited everyday in prayer. 3. Every year the recitation is checked by hafez (who memorized entire Quran. We even invited hafez from other countries to check. 4. The hafez are given special allowance so that they can focus. 5. Nationally and internationally there are thousands of recitation and memorization competition all year round for kids, boys, girls, and adults. 6. Internationally there are millions of hafez. From Alaska to Russia, from Sweden to South America and Africa.

Why should we need to do a forensic investigation on these cult texts just to know the date of publishing? Why couldn't they write the date they started to write their text!? I see a problem in referring to Karl-Heinz Ohlig. On the one hand he is not an expert. I am not sure whether he understands Arabic. He has experts in his team. But he himself is one of the liberal theologians who caused big harm to Christianity. It is clear that with the same methods he used for the destruction of the Bible he can much more easily destroy the qur'an. We don't have to be astonished that a person who denies the historicity of Abraham does the same concerning the prophet of Islam.
