Standing on the outside looking in is one of the hardest things a person can go through. Being disconnected from everything going on is a form of isolation that no person should ever go through, no matter how terrible they may be. Sometimes you aren’t on the outside looking in, rather, you're deep within yourself staring outward at everyone. You feel alone, helpless, and no matter how loud you scream nobody can hear you (fuck I'm beginning to cry now). It's a similar feeling, but one that can be almost worse than detatchment. Supression. Claustrophobia. Suffocating loneliness. We all have dealt with depression, but not everyone deals with drowning in themselves. If you are, try to tell someone who has no stake in the situation. Someone you know, who is friendly toward you, but not your friend. Talk to them, explain what is wrong, and try and find some time to get them to listen to you talk about your problems. Who knows, you might find peace in talking about your emotions to someone who isn't family or a close friend.

I know its been two years, so i doubt anyone would see this, but you have no idea. A lot of people hate Becko's addition to Fixt (me personally I think is a mixed bag somewhat even though I really like a lot of his new additions), but I've really related to his single Cyberfriend. The reason why any of this crap is relevant to this comment is because the internet, as much of a blessing it can be, has become a crutch in life and a replacement for actual relationships in life (at least mine in particular). So many relationships broken, so much abuse throughout the years, eventually the only person you end up talking to is yourself. The worst of you is amplified. Sometimes physically, and other times (and mostly in my case) mentally. Even with some friends and family left, and as stated in the beginning of the comment, being so disconnected that it all feels empty inside. This should be a promising, optimistic time in my life. Despite the Covid crap everywhere, I have a brand new start in a new state, already got a full time job, and while I dont have much saved up, I have no debt to my name. There is so much promise in my life, and I really shouldn't have anything to complain about. So why do I still feel like I'm chasing nothing? Why do I feel empty throughout the day, just chasing whatever I'm feeling at the moment? Pretending that even with previous heartache from starting over (leaving everyone behind in an infested, dying state) that I'm ok now. Why does it all feel...fake?

Undeniably hit my lowest point here in 2024, and I can relate to these lyrics with every fiber of my being. I had to fight so hard this year, just to find a reason to keep existing. Everything that could go wrong this year, did, and it took so much out of me that I don’t even recognize myself anymore. But I’m not gonna give up. I’ve enjoyed this song since it first dropped in 2016, but now I truly understand the lyrics. Thank you, Klayton, as always for the incredible music.🖤

This is probably the like hundredth time I've listened to this song, and Everytime I listen to it I swear a part of me is so convincted and vulnerable that I just have to stop whatever I'm doing and listen, sing if I feel like it, I'm not even joking, this song will come on and I'll just leave the room, and people get so confused, but it's just so heart wrenchingly beautifuly convicting that you can't just go about you're business while listening to it, at least not for me, I just have to stop and actually HEAR the song, the lyrics, the music, its beautiful, haunting, and convicting. It's a gorgeous song, Klayton keep up the amazing work!

The entire album is powerful, but this song in particular is so moving. As a fan from the beginning I have to say that Klayton has hit the ball way out of the park. Wow. I’m sorry for the pain and sense of separation. I think most of us can relate. I really enjoy this work. The ending of a plea to our Father is really beautiful. You are worthy of respect, and have a greater purpose than any can comprehend, through darkness and light, you are capable of greatness. Hebrews 2:11 says “Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[g] 12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” You are made holy and owe nothing beyond reviving his gift. In James chapter 1 it says, “2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. 9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation-since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. 12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.”

This song means a lot to me! For a while.. I was homeless out on the streets addicted to meth and heroin. I used to play this on my free Obama phone.. Cuz it's the only Phone I could afford.😅 And The lyrics really spoke to me as a way of trying to find a way to redeem myself. As these feelings of Redemption on oneself, can't Really feel any kind of.. Redeeming qualities!? The Last lyrics "Father have mercy on your son.. and always bring me home again, however far I run?" In the right state kind of bring me to tears. Thankfully I've gotten off the street and off the drugs. In a weird way I attribute racks like this. Not Just this? but Trax like this! I wonder about the meaning of the "... and not embracing the reflection there may be my greatest sin". (Whole verse starts at 0:50 ) Because I think that you can understand it both as "His greatest sin may be the fact that he does not embrace his reflection" (as in: it is a sin to not embrace one's own reflection) but also as "He does not embrace the fact that [his] reflection there is his greatest sin" (as in: his greatest sin is what he had become).
