I lucked out with my Stars Druid. I found the manual that ups your wisdom by 2 and your max by 2. So I have a Wisdom of 22 and a Moonsickle, so my spell save DC at level 13 is… 20 lol

When asked for an Astrology-based characters, outside of reflavorings, I usually recommend Stars Druid or an Artificer with Navigator's Tools as a Spellcasting Focus since it's also a star chart. This subclass is great but has a minor problem similar to Produce Flame in that in natural darkness without Darkvision, by itself, Starry Form's light (10-ft bright/10-ft dim) isn't enough to make use of Cosmic Omens' Weal or Woes total range (30-ft). It's very minor and usually doesn’t come up often. The Archer form 60-ft range could make full use off of Darkvision but needs Superior Darkvision for Guiding Bolts 120-ft range. But nothing a Bullseye Lantern can't take care of.

How often are you asked for an Astrology-based character?

@@cavernsandcreatures Well with my friend group being new, frequently. I tell them that there's things that get close but it takes only a little bit to actually get to what you want from a class and subclass.

This is an excellent subclass. It plays really well at the table. It’s well worth playing if you like druids. It’s also an exceptional 2 level dip for clerics if don’t need the last ASI at lvl 19. Easy A, more likely an S tier choice.

This is definitely a great subclass both in design and power, though I will note some weakness with the 6th level feature. Since you can only use it before the roll is made, you don’t know if you need to use it or not. This plus that it’s only a d6 will mean that this bonus or penalty will rarely actually make a difference in the outcome. Still good to help ensure a crucial save or die spell lands or help someone pass a similar save, just note that it won’t actually change the outcome as often as you’d hope. I’d estimate less than 30% of the time.

Chalice is a VERY weak feature when weighed against shepherd druid's unicorn totem - healing EVERYTHING in a 30' radius.

@@cavernsandcreatures I'm a big fan of shepherd as a healer - turning one casting into up to 40 heals (32 summons and 4 party members WITH horses). Healing 2 at a time just feels like - mayonnaise to the shepherd's sirracha aoli
