Listening to these hits again after so many years, it makes me realize how LITTLE he actually shreds. He spends so much time building the chord progressions, outlining the themes, building tension, and he keeps coming back to them. What a consummate artist.

I'm proud to say I have the original cd with the alien on the cover & saw him live listen to a song called all my friends are here for you progression loved this guy since he first hit the seen & he's going out with Sammy & the circle as a tribute to Eddie who else could do it maybe Nuno but I'll take Joe Satch

Totally. Joe creates and plays musical art of the highest level His songs are created to convey emotions and ideas in a very particular way. The number of notes and difficulty of the passages have no bearing on why Joe includes them in his artistic sonic arrangements

Joe Satriani is incredible and puts on such a great show! I’ve seen him probably 8 times and the first was in London in 1992. Absolutely awesome!
@andrewpardue332425 күн бұрын
I would definitely have to agree 100% . Joe is by far one of, if not the most impressive guitarist out there even Still this day 40 years after I first heard him. I’ve been listening to him since Surfing with the Alien was a new album 👽I was only 14 and had just gotten my first electric guitar for a birthday 🥳 present then ! 😄 but I’ve only been lucky 🍀 enough to see him live 1 time on the Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards tour but it was still a complete mind blowing experience no question there… 🤯 by far the best straight up guitar soloist shows I’ve ever seen and he autographed my Ibanez SZ720FM that night so I have Zero complaints. I bought it because I knew Joe and Steve Vai loved them so that’s a good enough endorsement for me ! I did A vs. B about 30 different guitars of all makes and models just to be sure that’s what I truly wanted that day in the guitar store. The Ibanez still came out on top in sound , fit and finish as well as looks. I never dreamed in a million years that 10 years later Joe Satriani himself would actually autograph ✍️ it! Definitely one of my most prized possessions for damn sure! I play it every day! I’ve owned it for about 25 years now and it still plays awesome and I’ve never had a single issue with that guitar 🎸 ever.

If you ever do get the chance definitely do it ! 100%. By far one of the most incredible shows you will ever see! I’ve seen a ton of live shows of almost everyone out there and been a huge fan of Joe’s playing for 40 years now. Joe’s live show was just absolutely mindblowing 🤯 even better than you imagine it would be! He had a guitarist from Vancouver BC Canada 🇨🇦 open up named Dave Martone ( far as I know he was in a Satriani tribute band before doing his own thing as a solo artist ) he was also fully awesome as well , check out his songs called Bossa Durado and Dinky Pinky! 😮 the dude can rip ! 🎸🤘🏻

Que bonita musica has creado Joe! Enorme!!!

I’m such a fender Jazzmaster freak, but my affinity for Joe’s excellent taste in taking postmodern replicative media production and using it in a similar way that Lichtenstein did by using techniques that were designed for mass production for one of a kind renditions makes my experience and upper education in contemporary art super appreciative. but I’ve always had a spot for Ibanez after seeing a pair of 1980s Roadstars in blue and red - first electric guitars I ever saw in person. I was hooked from that day onward at around 8-10 yo. Loving all of the renditions and finishes I’ve seen so far. My own visual arts would translate very well to guitars - just wish I had the $ to do it.
