Joe Satriani: Comparison is Joe Satriani When it comes to instrumental rock guitar, Joe Satriani stands as a category unto himself. His name isn’t just a benchmark-it’s the definition of excellence. To compare others to Joe Satriani is to acknowledge his unparalleled mastery, his innovation, and his ability to make a guitar sing like no other. Satriani’s music transcends genres, weaving emotion, technique, and creativity into compositions that resonate universally. Whether it’s the soaring melodies of Always with Me, Always with You, or the electrifying riffs of Surfing with the Alien, his work speaks volumes about his unique artistry. In a world full of comparisons, Satriani remains incomparable. His journey is a testament to individuality and the power of relentless self-improvement. To follow in his footsteps is to realize that the only true comparison is the one you make with your own potential.

I think Steve Vai is the baddest man on the planet. But it's so hard to compare these guitar gods on who is better. Joe has made his mark as far as melodic melody lines with insane riffs that nobody else can do like him. That's what makes him so unique. His parts are the vocal lines mostly and it smokes!!!

I saw Joe on the Blue Dream tour with Stuart Hamm & Jeff Campitelli, and the 3 of them rocked the house down. One of the best live performances by a 3-piece band ever!!

The legendary concert! Had it back in a day on DVD. Main issue though is the second guitar is almost inaudible most of the time.
@jfo30004 күн бұрын
It can be difficult to get 2 guitars to be equally heard in a mix as they occupy the same range of the frequency spectrum. But 2nd guitar is adding enough hint of color tones, that's all Joe wanted most likely. Joe is the front man here, his tour, his career, so he most likely had some say in this mix.

This Is the best live show he released
@petersparrow53213 күн бұрын
I agree, 2nd guitar is a sort of disgrace, Vai has both guitars amplified equally, well,almost of course, so this is rather strange with Joe, right?
