i've seen a few spirits in LA and they were exactly like this - even using smoke to form the shape of a huge horse. the reason the ghosts are hovering above ground -- there's a theory heaven (after life, what-have-you) is in the aura of the planet, just a few feet above the ground level. they can also use mirrors or glass (reflections) and ANY type of frequency maker like a piano or a radio to come to you. they can be fun. my mother 's ghost played the piano for her sister right after she died and she sets off my favorite childhood music box when I'm in the room and feeling sad.

A great reference was the movie Tough Guys made in the 80s. Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas play two old gangsters who are released from prison after 30 years or so, and in it, Burts character runs into an old gf and is asking to take her out, and everyplace he mentions has been closed, and he asks "Ciro's?" and she says "Its a comedy club now".

Lol at the Chappelle cigarette butt. I actually bumped into him around 3 or 3:30 in the morning in NYC. He asked me for directions, and I had no clue since I was just visiting NYC. I was so shocked that Dave Chappelle was talking to me that I didn't ask for an autograph or anything lol.

My, even better though, A HAUNTING STORY SEEN BY TWO PEOPLE ON THE SAME DAY AT SEPARATE TIMES, and then a 1940's doorman ghost aswell, CLASSIC!! Great vlog Jordan.

Jeff Scott gets so excited when telling his stories - just great. Funny you mentioned Scott Michaels, last week I rented the DVD he produced "The 6 Degrees of Helter Skelter" which was very informative and interesting. I don't remember hearing about it, but when I looked on the Library rental list for Helter Skelter, it popped up. I probably never would have watched it if I hadn't learned who Scott was through you. Very educational, as well as enjoyable watching your vlogs! Love meeting new people through you. Thanks, keep up the vlogging.

Being born and raised in Hollywood (1959 onward) and with an older (10 years) brother. We both attended (graduating class '68-'78') Hollywood High. My brother's best friend back then was Ted Sennes. Ted was Frank's son (proprietor of the Earl Carroll Theater in the 50's, which he remodeled and subsequently renamed The Moulin Rouge) - Frank also purchased Ciro's and was extremely successful until the stars he hired were being financially coerced into various venues in Las Vegas. He (Frank) ended up in Vegas himself and continued there with fabulous productions, most notably the LIDO show which was stupendously popular at The Desert Inn. Needless to say, The Sennes's were quite a powerful, 'connected' (Moe Dalitz aka Mr. Las Vegas was an extremely close friend) - family.I could go on ad infinitum with all sorts of interesting Hollywood tales, folklore and general ephemera, but alas I digress:If one believes in spiritual principles like Karma (cause and effect) you would not be disappointed in how it applies to the Sennes family. The Miceli family (of Miceli's Pizza) lost one of their daughters (Nina) to Ted's unbridled and unabashed drug induced 'accidents' (Porsche off a cliff on Latigo Canyon Road in 1971)...Of course, the Miceli's were also mildly 'connected' but nowhere near the almost iconic level of the Sennes clan. long story short - Sennes walked...and the Miceli's have held a grudge ever since.Soooo much more but I'd take up all of KZbins bandwidth!Again, a great vlog Jordan. Thank you!

The Lido was at The Stardust.
@bmepdoc96755 жыл бұрын
@@Carma_1 I should have been more concise, Carma. You are correct. Moe Dalitz owned The Desert Inn and subsequently The Stardust which, at the time boasted 1000+ rooms which was HUGE by Vegas standards back then. Sennes was the DI's entertainment director and was responsible for fulfilling Dalitz' wishes in "packing 'em in any way you know how". Sennes didn't have to look too far as he and a guy named Arden (I believe it was Donald?) had worked together in the past producing stage shows and wouldn't you know it, it was Arden who masterminded the Lido show in Paris. Sennes knew Dalitz was expecting a show as monumentally stupendous as his new resort so he (Sennes) and Arden came up with "Lido de Paris" - a modified for Vegas/Dalitz (and a bit risque for the time topless dancers) version. Dalitz had full faith in Sennes who emphasized to Arden the importance of the show being a top notch class act. It was... and ended up as one of the highest grossing shows ever. There are just so many memories, oft times I was a 'tag-along' as is the case with siblings, and I recall quite a few ..ahem...lets just say intensely colorful convos and stories when visiting Ted at the massive Sennes mansion on Rossmore in the Hancock Park district. You know...of the Sopranos or Goodfellas variety. In my later years once I had reached drinking age or..anything but the halcyon years, myself and pals would make the drive to Vegas and too many times to recall we'd ALL be comp'd. Sometimes we'd stay for a couple of days without a penny spent out of our pockets. And this wasn't just at the D.I. or Stardust.... but ANYWHERE in Vegas. Such was the 'gravitas' of the Sennes name and association. All it took was a very specific signature.... It was akin to being royalty in the U.K.

🍀You're so very fortunate to have been escorted around the place by the charismatic Jeff Scott Frayer❣ Upon reading his obit., I presume he'd had a will, and his cherished, priceless treasures were (hopefully) placed back at The Comedy Store for everyone to enjoy. (He had antique Ciro's items, after all.💞) Or, perhaps, his friends & family received them... 💓. EDIT: 😃 I just read a comment, below ours, from Jordan the Lion. He states they're making a a room, or area, for them at The Comedy Store. 💖 A museum type-of-thing.💗
