Also, why would you ever tell her to forget about the kicks?? She's a good kicker and Manon didn't counter her kicks at all. There were no obvious threats. His advice is worse than the generic "GIMME 100%" and the famous "YOU GOTTA GO ALL OUT". Barry's advice actually sabotaged Rose.

Seeing Rose's face at the end of the first round told me she had convinced herself she couldn't win with a bad hand. Not saying it wasn't a huge setback in the fight, but it was a far cry from fighters like Uriah Faber who broke both hands in a fight and just switched to throwing hard elbows.

i swear, rose is one of the most frustrating fighters to watch. so many skills and abilities and then shows up and just does dumb shit. this fight, i don't think she was mentally off, but the strategy/tactics were poor. in what world did it make sense for her to force grappling/clinch exchanges with a bigger and stronger fighter...especially when she's not some incredible wrestler

I'm French and I thought Ciryl shying away from Tom's call out was lousy. What does he expect a title shot after beating #7 contender ? He's 2-2 in his last 4 and has been fighting for the belt every other bout. Even as a fellow countryman I long to see him tested against Aspinall or Blaydes before getting another shot (I feel like Pavlovich should be fighting for the belt in his next one.) Anyway, fun event. I am actually surprised at how good the crowd is because we are not particularly known for being great supporters in other sports - not necessarily bad but definitely not "the best crowd in the world" (and that's Bisping, a British saying that wow !) Super happy for Morgan that he blew up in front of the whole world like that, he's had such a bumpy road till now. He's a true example of courage and resilience and really deserves his fame. As for Benoît Saint-Denis, he is super entertaining but I am affraid that once his chin won't tolerate taking so much damage every fight his style won't be as effective. I'd like to see him against Frevola next.

Rose is like *"Hey, my finger broke"...* And rather than checking it to see if maybe it's just dislocated, he says _"You don't need a finger right now"..._ Then he goes on to talk about her setting up her right hand and to stay away from using kicks, despite them working, and I'm like *"Sir, she's going to need that finger to throw punches... And with her dominant hand being injured, some additional kicks might help to compensate".* I feel like an actual coach would have heard what Rose said, and started crafting an approach that takes her new injury into mind... Rather than ONCE AGAIN, sticking with and trying to force a gameplan that isn't working/is compromised (due to this injury). It's common sense and knowledge that you can work on a lot of things in preparation, but in the fight things happen and adjustments need to be made... And Pat has shown and is still showing that he is unable to adjust on the fly, AND is unwilling to allow Rose to step outside of the box and attempt anything that wasn't in their VERY specific gameplan for the fight. Terrible coach... And a shockingly lack of ability to gameplan on the fly from her and her corner.

Manolo Zucchini trains at 5km from where I live. He kind of is a staple of regional Italian MMA, he goes around from Venator to Oktagon and had a stint in Cage Warriors. He trains sometimes at Jackson Wink for some weird-ass reason. I have no idea why a coach would ever green-light a fighters “dream” if that clearly means he doesn’t belong level-wise. I like the guy, but when he parried a jab and his head made the motion you do when a wasp flies by your head, I knew it was over.

Imho Rose was the winner of this fight let me break it down. I thought Rose could have dominated this fight but got hurt and still beat Fiorot in a competitive fight. Jamahal Hill and Rose brother even said that Rose should have won in Round 1 Rose got hurt but did a good job defending Fiorots blitz. Close but clear 10-9 Round for Fiorot in Round 2 Rose was landing her left straight and uppercut. Fiorot was just throwing at air. 10-9 round for Rose in Round 3 Rose knocked Fiorot down so it should be a 10-8 round for rose The competitive nature of this fight is not being mentioned by anyone and its a shame since Rose looked good and should be the face of WMMA
