ask on the official 3cx forums, the templates are there but you need to edit a file or something to make it show up. just open a thread on there and ask.

You can write XML's to configure usecallmanager.nz is a good place for that

Just updating you. I used the 3CX Cisco 7941 template worked just fine solar winds tftp, blind and attended transfer and local conference doesn’t work though😂

Hi! You actually need a PoE module. If you dont have one of those you can buy a power cable online. (if it has one)

Cisco has a line of phones aka the 8800 series. These phones are 3pcc or 3rd Party Call Control. That would mean SCCP and SIP.

@@firefone8127 any of the newer cisco phones (ex: 8800 series) enterprise or 3pcc use sip as sccp has been retired but is still supported on the latest release of CUCM 12.1

Okay so.. I download the XML on 3CX then put that in TFTP and with all the right ip settings and look on the phone messages and all it says is error? The the heck man **in my Bart Simpson voice**

Do you get in with the Multiplatform Firmware or the "normal" Cisco Enterprise Firmware?

Multi platform firmware is obtainable with either a one time use license to upgrade which usually costs around $170 USD or an infinite license which are a few grand. Unfortunately there is no way to upgrade without the licenses.

You want to choose the older one so choose 7945 or something like that, its in the eol section.

I want use it but I have Enterprise version and I don’t know if this will work. I wanted use FreePBX with Chan-SCCP but there is problem with network locales files. Mine phone is Cisco CP-8851

The Cisco 8800 Series is not compatible with Chan_SCCP since these newer phones use SIP not SCCP.

The activation code comes from CUCM, if you don't have one running then you wont get one.

Connector wasn't long enough, the ports on the newer cisco phones are deeper.

In a newer video you are using freepbx, is it better than 3cx? I am going to run it on a raspberry pi. Also, does the TFTP server always need to be on (after the provisioning?). Thanks!

@@segregate4977 3cx is really easy to use for newer people in voip but freepbx is more advanced and harder to use, the tftp server only needs to be on for custom ringtones if you have one selected but after the provision it doesnt need it but i always keep it running

Would you like me to buy a conversion license to get the phone back on enterprise, put it back into a box and make a more detailed video just for you? Sorry for not having the best production value, I'm only in High School. Everyone else in the comments hasn't had a problem with this and I've helped in comments. Sorry if I come off as rude but this videos is almost 2 years old at this point and was only a few months after I even got into this hobby and I do not have the equipment further to remake this video, I'll take note that should I ever buy another cisco phone to make a better video on this. Feel free to check out the other videos I made on this phone. Edit: My original intention with this video was to just explain it and it was never meant to physically show the xml and give it to the people watching, that was supposed to happen on the viewers end.
