David, thanks very much! I had no idea that Packet Tracer was this capable. It's obviously not as comprehensive as GNS3 but in terms of quickly getting started with a minimal config, I'm not sure that there is a contender. Looking forward to watching the rest of this series.

PT was extreemly usefull in my CCNA challenge! So it helps in CCNP: some thing are easy to config in PT rather than in GNS or VIRL.

Agreed - PT can be really useful. All the platforms - PT, GNS, VIRL, EVE-NG have advantages and disadvantages.

David, thanks for showing the packet tracer details. I like your style and zooming on the screenshots. Most YT Producers do not consider keeping the desktop at the lower resolution so the views are easier to see even at 360 frames. You do a great job of presenting and zooming in.

so I won 2 Udemy courses a few videos back of yours. a CCNA course and python for networking. My questions are, does the ccna course there expire when the new ccna certs is revised? And or does the course become invalid at the end of february 2020? And are there any PT labs in the package I can download like on netacad?

I think accidently managed to start the course, it does say "Full lifetime access" does this mean until I have started the course or can I start with 1 section and do another section 2 months later? And if I complete the course I won from you,will the course still be available to me after the cisco revisement certs happen? Sorry for obvious answers to questions but I have to know. if I really like these 2 courses I will be probably buy some extra courses later. The courses don't expire (as in they don't get deleted). They'll just come out with NEW courses to match the updated curriculum. It'll be up to you to take the courses you need to learn the new material.

You either mistyped a command where the ^ marker points at. Or you input a command that is not available in one of the 3 different modes that David demonstrated. The 3 different modes have different commands available. You are in the wrong mode probably. Use the "show ?" or whatever to list available commands in each mode you are currently in.

@@davidbombal Hello David, installing it in Debian is pretty challenging, at least for previous Ubuntu and Debian versions. I haven't tried but I use GNS3 in Debian Buster 10 and also Ubuntu 18.04.
