Great video. When you entered the "shut" and "no shut" command, did you have to select the port? I might have missed that part of the tutorial. I'm guessing you had it already selected by that point but you issued the show port security command followed by the "shut" and "no shut" command(around 19:40) minute marker. Thanks!
@EastCharmer13 күн бұрын
yes! You have to be on that port interface to do the shut/no shut command. For example: switch1(config)#int fa0/1 then switch(config-if)#shut

Hello, Thanks for your informative videos. After the pandemic, many companies switched to a hybrid work environment. Within the scope of the smart office work environment, different users can sit at a table due to the hotdesk seating arrangement. What kind of structure would you recommend to establish in such an environment? Thanks in advance.
@EastCharmerАй бұрын
Hello there! Ah yeah the Hybrid environment is tricky to setup. Ok for hotdesk, I would recommend using Thin Clients because they're easier to manage with just the programs that the users need especially if they're using mostly web-based systems. You can just setup up a browser and everyone can use them. Easier for IT to maintain coz it's locked down to what they need

sorry to even ask this Q? do you see the layoffs in your arena of IT? Or do you find being a (hands on) technician/engineer/what you do VS sales, management and outliers being non tech layoffs. i dont see anyone really talking about it. Thank you
@EastCharmer10 ай бұрын
no that's a great question. hhhmmm well I think I can only speak based on my experience and on what I've observed so far since the pandemic. I think IT is solid when it terms of layoffs (tho this might not be the case to all IT jobs). My previous company laid off around 50% and no one from the main IT team was laid off. I think this is because IT runs the infrastructure and systems so if they lay off IT, who's gonna run the tech and who's gonna offboard the people? Also from what I've seen, IT is more stable and safe even if the job isn't always exciting compared to the more popular tech jobs like cybersecurity, software engineers etc coz those were the jobs that were laid off from my company. But this is all just from my experience

@@EastCharmer Q. Popularity of clouds storage is increasing so what is your opinion on this and still any scope of Ccna certification in future ?
@EastCharmer10 ай бұрын
@@ashwinchimankar3392 well that's true but not all businesses are going full on cloud or can go full on cloud. Also, the networking is also one of the backbones of cloud tech.
