RV320 and RV325 Router Basic Configuration Tutorial

pls sir ma I need a clear understanding if I edit the subnet mask can I get more users to connect to the cisco rv345p router (I mean like 10,000 users)and again can it support it and can I use any access point to connect the wifi so that I can use wide range antenna pls I will be very grateful and thankful if some one can answer me because I want it in my new project

The RV320 / RV325 are not wireless routers. You would need to add an wireless access point. We recomend the Cisco WAP581. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/small-business-500-series-wireless-access-points/datasheet-c78-738872.html

Hi, is this Router model supports CLI configuration?? If it does, how do you access it? Regards

Even though it has a console port it does not support CLI. It was put there apparently for future use.

The WAN and LAN sould be plug and play unless your ISP's modem/router does not do DHCP. Then you would need to manually configure. Please call the Cisco support center at: www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/web/tsd-cisco-small-business-support-center-contacts.html

What is the "smart license" on the RV345? Nervous about purchasing if I have to buy these licenses.

The Smart license for the RV345 is for the Advanced web filtering and Anyconnect VPN client. You do not have to purchase these licenses if you are not needing these features. The router still have a business firewall and content filtering.

I can't seem to get the Forbidden Domains Table to work. can you show and example? I tried "facebook.com" and "facebook.com/" neither work to block the site.

Hello Russell, The RV325 will only block HTTP domains. Also, Facebook is difficutlt to block because they use so many redirection servers and domains. Your best best is to block the keyword" facebook"

You're right, Huynh. The only option to use RV325 in your environment is when the device in front of RV325 (modem/router) has the PPPoE configuration and do a NAT with rules to forward all traffic to RV325.
