Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston, dies at 91

The legendary gospel singer, two-time Grammy winner and mother of Whitney Houston died at her home in New Jersey while under hospice care for Alzheimer’s, her daughter told The Associated Press.

I literally get goose bumps whenever I hear Whitney sing. It all began with her Mom. She carried a gift in her womb, helped ground her faith in God and Lord Jesus, and helped lead her daughter to global success. Whitney Houston will ALWAYS and FOREVER be my favourite singer!!!!! Thank you Cissy for bringing her into the world. I could only imagine the depth of hurt she had to carry when she lost her daughter and granddaughter. R.I.P.
