A no-U turn sign is what is required. In Nigeria, you cannot get a license renewed if you cannot interpret road signs as part of the test.

Does this exercise make sense at all? If there’s an area that is prone to driver misconduct, why not seek to reconstruct the area to avoid unlawful turn. Is it a trap to the citizens? Let’s do the NEEDFUL!! If the place is somehow reconstructed, there wouldn’t be the need for the police to waste taxpayers’ resources there to maintain order. The best use of the resources is to fix the problem at the turn. Hope the authorities are listening.

The police themselves don’t even know the difference between No Parking and No stopping. No parking simply mean a driver can stop either to pick people or drop people but can’t stop there and put off his ignition and leave the car there so I don’t know why these police officers keeps on arresting driver like this. They themselves even don’t understand the road warning and regulations signs. Shame on them. The only thing they know is to take 5 cedis from innocent driver. That is a big disgrace to the police service

Very true... Its also for the driver himself or herself... They behave as is government car cannot be involved in any accident... If the president stops appointment of IGP will the police be free to do their jobs properly without fear..

TroTro drivers are the worst road users. Their vehicles are partly in desolate condition and a massive danger to road traffic. The police should also check the bus stops, because taxis block the TroTros stops there.

Good observation. But please do note the rules and regulations may change over time but the physical structures may not do so at the same time. An example will be Ring Road East, between La General Hospital and Labone junction where almost all the U-turns have been blocked, with temporary barriers, because they used to cause heavy traffic on that stretch. Now they no longer do. So granted, some time ago there was a need to create such turns but now that they inconvenience everyone else, they have been blocked. Let's stay current and stay safe out there.
