It is called Aidan in my Yoruba language in Nigeria. Our forefather used it for so many health and spiritual benefits. Some times I wonder how our fore fathers and mothers know so much about plants, herbs, and roots. During covid 19 pandemic, my mother cured my cough with this wonderful herb, after failure of drugs.

It's has been a flavour we use since when I was a child in the 80s here in Igbo part of Nigeria. Ghana is not a monopoly of the fruit. In my dialect it is called "Oshasha". We use it mainly to cook Porridge Yam.

I was unable to sleep I went to the hospital and the Doctor said I have malaria and insomnia .. My goodness the hospital medication didn’t do nothing I was still having the problem… So a friend told me to make prekese tea.. So I bought prekese, cloves and negro pepper I boiled it and took it before going to bed and in the next morning I was very healthy, strong and my mood too changed… Above I have been able to sleep way better… God is good 🔥🔥It’s magical

this is found in cameroon everywhere and is a spice,but some state have it going like a tree falling everywhere,they did not know it, i lived in that town , we use to go pick iot up and the native did not know it. we use it in a native food call ACHU AND EVEN PLANTAIN
