I bought my Rad Mini in Sept. 2016. At the time Rad's did not have front suspension, so my first major upgrade was to get a Body Float seat. Expensive, ( $259.) but worth it. About a 95% difference in ride comfort. I do like the idea of those tires you're running with the foam inserts. I only have 800 miles on my original tires so I have a ways to go yet. Hopefully, Specialized makes that tire in a 20x4" size.

It's mostly the tannus smoothing the ride. Just one thing to be aware of if it matters to anyone- soft and squishy= a little less speed and more battery drain. It's hard to really notice on an ebike, but moreso at the lower level end, and going uphill. For me it's one less day back and forth from work before having to charge per week, roughly. And then more dramatic on longer rides on different terrain and whatnot. Big hills with softer tires were really slow and dumped the battery! Just something I think people should think about. If you're doing a lot of trail rides, it's more worth it. If commuting and riding the road mostly, it really wasn't to me.
@johnlemon91164 жыл бұрын
It's mostly the insert's. Funny enough I have a similar set up and I have the Juggernaut Tire's. Used the Tannus Inserts without changing tire, have the exact same seat as you but I do have suspension for my seat post and YES, it is SMOOTH. So your assumptions are correct lol. Great video's by the way! E-bike's are fun! Even more so on an off road kind of situation!

Given everything you have on the bars, you actually need wide bars. For decades, I’ve been helping people to feel more comfortable on their bikes by shortening them to shoulder width. Makes the front end feel more planted, and you don’t catch your bar ends on trees, etc. I’m nearly 6’ 3” and 230lb, yet my bars are only 24” wide.

I definitely want to do the Tannis armor on our bikes. I have a cyrusher 900 the wife has a 650 and those Chong Fung tires were horrid. I did splurge a little bit and bought the maxxis minion FBR and FBF for mine, and I put the Kenda Juggies on hers. Funny enough we both noticed a pretty decent speed increase and just playing around in the grass. I have so much more confidence taking turns that I never would’ve attempted on those crap Chinese tires. I have a question for you. I want to upgrade my entire drivetrain to Minimum Shimano Deore, because in PAS5 there’s no point of even peddling the motor over powers the gearing. So I was thinking about going to a smaller sproket in the front and hopefully a 10 or 11 speed cassette and derailer obviously. More of what you see on higher end, mountain bikes. do you know if on the 900 would it be compatible with the Shimano crankset?

@@CitizenCycle925 Cant stretch it afterwards. I am pretty sure you have it in 4:3 ratio setting instead of 16:9 on your Go pro. I think its a Go pro you are using? Definitely a camera setting you need to change before filming. I am amazed that you did not know about this. I thought this was intentional or just an old camera. Many of your Rad rover videos are 4:3 i have not seen one thats wide screen. This really effects the views i think because personally when i see a 4:3 video by brain automatically considers the video old or shot with an old camera and most people subconsciously know that too. 4:3 video is not just bad but unacceptable honestly for last decade or so when everything is widescreen. Will look great in an old Crt 4:3 TV from the 90's tho lol.
