Always take a picture of complicated wiring before taking it apart. Makes it much easier when ir comes time to re-assemble.

Yup, hampered by the lack of speed sensors. With sensors they could implement traction control.

I second front and rear speed sensors to have optional traction control available.

I just bought a second bike from them (a Cruiser this time) for friends to be able to ride. I bet within the next 12-18 months they will really dial things in, so I can think about upgrading after that point. Plus, there should be more competitors on the market. Excited to see where they take this!

That's great how you can program it. I wonder how other types of tires would affect it? Maybe a video with different tires and trying the different settings to see how it compares? It's like you need slicks. Great video. This bike is a monster. Holy Cow!

What would happen if you swapped out the knobbies for some quality street tires? I believe you'd get better results if the tires matched the terrain, the knobby front tire might find some better traction on softer ground. The knobby doesn't have enough rubber on the pavement for what you're asking it to do. Also, I think the 2 throttle solution is my holy grail. A good strong rear drive bike with a front motor kit such as yours would be ideal for me personally.

If this Ebike can go at least 48mph like the Billy Goat, I'd buy it in a minute.
@nyersa14 күн бұрын
Dude, I have a predator... Why the hell would you want to go 48mph? Anything over 25 gets sketch on any bike including the predator... if you want those speeds get a motorcycle and a license

How a setting to make the front wheel go around only as often as the rear wheel does?
@lostguy20252 күн бұрын
It would be nice if the front wheel power would ramp up AS your speed increased.
@artblakey41596 күн бұрын
If both wheels had speedo sensors the software could compare them and avoid wheelspin and you would not need to manually adjust the front's PAS or start level
@rayrussell62586 күн бұрын
Wouldn't it be simpler to control wheel spin by just having the throttle be used more progressively in controlling speed of launch, rather than full on or full off? Make it function more like an accelerator.

So, how to use the affiliate link discount? Where's the code?

Awesome! Is it possible to use the programmer to integrate your front motor kit into the stock system; single display and single throttle? Actually, include the thumb throttle but add an option in the menu to choose; independent throttle or coupled throttle. Btw, congrats on the baby!

Traction control is the answer.

we need power curve controls like a decent electric skateboard. Its bonkers that we can't do PWM curves at this point, right?

I've had dual motor powerful bikes. Why not keep the front motor off a few seconds after launch then turn on the front motor if needed? No need for front motor if rear has enough power.
@steveschneider84546 күн бұрын
I think its one of those just because you can doesn't mean you should. Its just far to much power for that bike and youre an expert.

I'll take off can you switch the front motor off of the other and then once you get rolling on the back motor turn the front motor on

What’s the sense of having all that power when you have to turn it almost off makes no sense
@JohnBabcock-qy1cs6 күн бұрын
Just do not turn the throttle all the way on at launch.

I’ve watched a few of your videos…. I’m 6’4 and 280lbs…. Do you think the freedom would be big and powerful enough to me?! Or should I invest in the predator… or do you recommend a bigger better bike?!?…

I’m about your size, and live on top of a 10% grade hill , steep, had bbshd kit motors and still could not make it up the hill on their own . I just got the wired cruiser , this is the best , what an e-bike should be , it climbs any hill even with out pedaling ❤❤
@ItsMeMrG5 күн бұрын
No way the BBSHD couldn’t haul you up the hill unless you had terrible gearing like 52T sprocket/32T cassette

I have to think that you will see a noticeable difference in tire spin if you have the ALLSCAPE tires on. There has to be 2x to 3x more total surface contact points on the allscapes compared to the Kendas. This in addition to the fact that the Allscapes are truly a MUCH safer tire to have on this bike when you are out on the road going 37mph and you have a car on your tail… Should you blow a tire THEN, you and the driver behind you now have to hope for a safe deacceleration to 0 from the moment of the tire blowing. Happened to me once. Now you couldn’t pay me to ride with the Kendas - it’s a ‘good’ tire where good isn’t safe enough. My safety isn’t set to ‘good’ 😊

Remove the rear rack battery and I bet the front wheel has more down force

Why focus so much on a drag start. These kind of activities are contributing to ebikes bans everywhere. Ebikes will never have a true launch control like ice or ev cars, they are too dumb to program proper launch (not enough sensors to decide how much power to send to a wheel). I always start with rear motor only and if more power needed - switch to 2 wheel drive while you are at speed. Otherwise you are dangerous not only to people and objects around but to yourself too
@wanee80396 күн бұрын
When I ride my Grizzly. I always started with the rear only. And never road with the front only un less you want to replace front tire everymonth. I let a friend ride it once and even though I told him Not to use the front motor while staring off or cruising around. Unfortunately he didn't listen and was riding on the bike path on the beach and ended up going down pretty hard going around a bend in the path with quite a bit of sand on the path. He said he hit the throttle and the front end slid out from under him. Giving him a nice road rash on his knee upper leg and a sore hip and some nice scratches on his helmet. Thankfully at least he wore the helmet as he's one of those I don't need no stinking helmet type of rider. that was over a month ago and I'm still waiting for new handle bars,a left brake lever and since the seat got torn.i had it redone by a local mom and pops furniture shop. At least I got the seat back and it's a lot better than the original hard as plank seat. Ended up just buying a new lever at a local bike shop. So it's rideable but the handle bar is cracked and bent towards the rider so it not fun at all to ride. Really bummed at Areial. As they keep saying it's on backorder for over a month now. 😒🙄

This is true for me as well. I occasionally give myself an unwelcome surprise when I accidentally leave the front motor engaged and then drive it assuming it's in rear only. Oops... If I need to holeshot it from a stop for some reason I just turn on the front motor and then modulate the throttle accordingly - it's marginally faster than just cracking the rear to wide open throttle.
