@gilltim5711 only when you go fast and release the bars, but not during normal riding. They sent a new head unit I haven't had a chance to put on but it's really a non issue.

I just bought my own a few days ago it got delivered. Had some trouble with the setup so I emailed the company. Believe it or not the CEO himself responded and gave me a phone call to walk me through a very simple braking issue. Definitely worth the price. E-bikes are 10000% the future and I’m glad I got mine while they’re still cheap and relatively unpopular (for now)

Another excellent video! I own the 2nd generation Freedom in black, it’s a great bike. I placed an order about a month ago for the white Freedom, I’m keeping my black bike as a companion bike for others to ride. (when I’m with them of course) The extra mounted battery is a real bonus. Yes they charge tax where its required by law and no they do not choose the "Free Shipping" hook so many other companies do....of course in reality those companies just bundle it into the cost. Any idea where to get that spare battery and a battery balancer at? I have the previous version and another 2000 is pretty high entry cost for realistically the same bike, when those same upgrades would IMO be around $1000. I found a spare battery on aliexpress (same SN and supplier) for about 450, I cant imagine a controller being more than $200 and a balancer the same. but I have no idea where to even start looking for a controller or balancer, let alone a pancake battery like that, which is awesome.

😢 Why? Just WHY? Some changes from most previous 2024 Freedom version: 1. Rambo Bikes Trailer Hitch is now REMOVED from rear frame rack. Can't easily tow Granny/Invalid/*Wife-Riding-Shotgun* out of Harm's Way on deer cart trailer during a major critical incident; 2. Appears to be proprietary or NON-mainstream output connector to bike wiring harness for the rear battery; 3. Front fork requires our Favorite Ebike Reviewer Bryan to QUICKLY AGE as he and loving family figure out the revisions for future Citizen Performance Front Wheel Warp Drive kit on the now revised, souped up Wired Freedom. I am 75 years old and have been riding my Magnum Cruiser ebike for 7 years. I bought it solely based on the size. I am 6’4” with a long inseam. The Magnum is a “crank forward” design that positions the pedal crank further forward to get proper leg extension without having the seat post raised up to the max height. I am looking for a fat tire bike that will fit me comfortably. I prefer an upright seating position with high handlebars. Of all the larger frame e-bikes, this one looks like it might fit my needs. Excellent review, however I have a problem with the stats you post at the beginning. You state that the rider weight at the beginning of the test is 180lbs, however you didn't state what the rider weight is at the end of the test, you could have lost 20lbs by the time the batteries ran out.

??? he did that on purpose if you only had 1 battery hooked in at a time the same principle applies- when you are done you are done... there is no magic to one battery or dual batteries- they have a capacity & when you max out the capacity [especially on a range test video] then you have reached the end of the capacity... if I plan on going on a long trip or anyone else is they should plan on how far they are going & at what avg speed as well as know the terrain & when & when to recharge... I intend at some point to do a video & post it of extremely long range rides on my eCargo Bike once I figure out the battery build... I will be seeing how feasible cross country trips are on an eBike. That will require planning & maybe even bringing a generator that can be sourced in fuel & the sun so I can keep going & record how much fuel it actually costs to make that trip... keeping everything to a minimum. So plan your trips is what I am saying as a reply to your strange comment like he could have gone further thru some magic trick... he purposefully did his test as a typical ride Not max distance low pedal assist & Not max power throttle only.... he wanted people to see how the bike would perform real world with BOTH batteries- and he did that... also who even gets an eBike unless pedaling is something they can do for a min 10 miles... I seriously went to Gettysburg & back on my MtB- no electronics pedal power only all the way from DC & back... that was a fun trip approx 200 miles there & back. So pedaling an eBike that is depleted 10- 20 miles is nothing really- if you ever run into that situ due to plans not being all correct for whatever reason...

How do you come up with the 3100 watt power, is it because the motor is rated for that high? Where is it the theory behind it voltage x amps?

The controller is 45amps and peaks above 48 amps. A 60v battery has 67 volts at full charge so 67x48=3216 watts. The new bikes peak 1000 watts higher and also have a higher continuous amperage resulting in significantly better acceleration and top end speed. Just wait until the production reviews are in, absolutely destroys the competition!

@@jfly2249 I'll ask you, since you seem to be very knowledgeable about these bikes... do you know anything about the Wired controllers made by Patriot Systems? I can't find any info on the company or find any other bikes that use them. Also, I was considering the Wired cruiser but they are tucking the controller (and battery balancer) inside the bottom bracket. I'm concerned about a 45 amp controller overheating in that small confined space. I've read about Freedom controllers shutting down from overheating and they are mounted out in the open air. (at least they self-reset when they cool down). Even Cleveland's version of the cruiser (Step Star) is mounting their controller externally like the Wired Freedom. What do you think? Any reason to be concerned? Know anything about controllers made by Patriot Systems?

I would bet pretty soon as the Wired controller is designed for a TS. The old KT controllers Wired used to use were not. E cells is now learning that a torque sensor on the KT controller sucks and has to be seriously nerfed to even be rideable. Anyone who has tried a real torque sensor will be returning the e cell.

It is very good bang for the buck don't get me wrong I would just have range anxiety. the specs are always getting better give it 1 more year and these fast bikes will have 3kw battery for 2k dollars.
