Excellent points by Dr Lele. Couldn't agree more... I would be keenly interested to hear Dr. Lele's and other views on the RMP 2031's approach (following the land suitability/capability analysis and guidelines of the RSP BMR 2031) to conserve the water basins/environment in the north-west and south-south west regions and encourage urban development in the north, east and south-east segment, which are more water scarce (from piped water perspective) and dependent on ground water. Particularly in light of the point that new development should not be encouraged where water-waste water facilities do not exist. And if this is indeed the direction of city growth, then active lake and groundwater management should begin in that segment?
