Mr. Oji, thank you for a superb presentation. I urge you to take a look at your Bulova Watch division, and breathe new life into it. The Precisionist movement was an engineering marvel. Many mechanical watch aficionados are drawn to it’s quartz accuracy and beautiful sweeping seconds hand. Unfortunately, Bulova styling, in my opinion, leaves much to be desired. I believe Bulova, with it’s rich history, has been overlooked for many years now. Utilizing the Precisionist movement, in more classically styled watches, would result in huge success for the brand.

This is going to be a beautiful piece of engineering. I love Japanese watches, so many of which are so innovative. Japan has given so much to the horological world. @michaelsaia543 жыл бұрын
Japanese better bang per buck compared to Swiss entry level like ETA? Yes, no doubt I’d take a Japanese movement around 500 dollars than a Swiss, but once you get past a thousand there is no beating the Swiss at their own game
@raycollington43103 жыл бұрын
@@michaelsaia54 I'm still bruised from a recent negative experience with IWC. I have to stop looking at a disassembled movement and thinking these few machine made parts cost nothing compared to the eye watering SRP. At the lower end, the Swiss keep knocking out the same old battery quartz daily beater jobs. No solar, battery hatch, charging or ten year lithium. This may be fine for some countries with professional high street stores who will change the battery in minutes. I live in the UK where you have to either do it yourself or send it away. Great direction. For example, the Citizen NB1050-59A is a beautiful watch, for a good cost, and competes with many other brands. Citizen is starting to replace Seiko as the best bang for buck value in mechanical watches. While Seiko and other brands are producing less quality watches, for more money, and less features, Citizen seems to be taking the lead in quality mechanical watches at affordable prices. Years ago Citizen was only considered a quartz movement watch company, and not in the minds of watch collectors, but with this shift, Citizen will be more on the wish lists for true watch collectors. The NB1050-59A is now the watch to have that replaces the now discontinued SARB line that was a favorite for many years.

Really like the way you guys are shifting your business. I believe Citizen will surpass Seiko to be the best watchmaker in Japan. However, I hope the second hand for the Caliber 0200 model needs to improve its quality. Finishing is lacking for the high-end watch. Also, please adopt your paper dial to different models. It is by far the best dial, and I believe it is far better than the GS snowflake. Additionally, I hope Citizen developed its own design identity. I feel like the watch is a combination of what is popular in the market. The sharp hands from GS, unibody Genta-esq case design, textured dials now popular in many sport steel watches (GS, chopard, etc.). I feel like Citizen needs a distinguishable design queue that can make the watch "pop" more.
