When I was like 11 my family and I lived in a house where the laundry room connected to my bedroom. So you had to go through my room to do laundry. My mom swears that one morning she had to get something out of the dryer but my door was locked. So she knocked, woke me up, and asked me to unlock the door. I have absolutely no recollection of it, but apparently, I told her to "stand back" and that I'd "open the door with magic."

Oh, thank you so much for showing me that I am not the only one who has brainfarts like that. Once I tried so hard to remember that very famous Australian city called "Sidney" and it took me soooooo long to remember it. We were playing a guessing game and all my friends were laughing so hard and my sister in the next room finally came over to us and gave me a hint. The funniest part of this story is, that I am the know-it-all of our group and nobody could have ever guessed that I could have brainfarts as big as that.

My husband's family makes nonalcoholic wassil with a bunch of whole spices and apple cider as a base. However, I will always prefer coffee. something I've found when coloring anything with physical media-- colored pencils, crayons, acrylic & tempera paints, etc... is that they seem to be much more vibrant if I mix two similar shades of a color than if I use just one. Have you ever found anything like this to be true with your soaps? I've never worked with coloring three-dimensional materials all the way through like this, and probably don't actually thoroughly mix my colors as well as I "should," so I might be seeing the irregularity as what makes it "vibrant", but idk.

but okay so qotd. def cider for me-- I've always heard "cider" used to refer to both alcoholic and non, I'm not even sure what the other word you used was-- wassail? But afaik "non-alcoholic cider" is like saying "sugar-free honey". it's not really cider anymore bc the word cider is -supposed- to refer to a way of brewing alcohol. in the same way tht whiskey, bourbon, scotch, etc are different from each other. also I just. really don't like pumpkin. I love "pumpkin spice" when it's JUST the classic fall/winter spices, but pumpkin itself is g r o s s (to me).
