I've been obsessed with Carole and Tuesday on Netflix, it somehow manages to fit all the typical anime elements into a really lighthearted and beautiful story in such a well-coordinated way without being very hyperbolic or sensationalized - it's really expanded my understanding of how you can use a genre to tell a story even if they aren't historically paired well together. And besides that, the animation and music is absolutely gorgeous, I honestly can't recommend it enough.

My favorite calming TV show is the 1995 Pride & Prejudice BBC miniseries. There's enough drama to keep me interested, but it's not stressful in any way and there are tons of gorgeous shots of manors and green landscapes. The music is really lovely too. As for movies, I really like Only Yesterday. A lot of people hate it and think it's boring because "nothing happens" but that's sort of why I love it. It's a low-stakes character study that speculates on what it means to grow up and become an adult and how childhood experiences contrast and contribute to your current self. Also has lovely music, and the Japanese voice actors are phenomenal. They, and the facial animations, breathe so much life into the characters.
